With UK's Tesco Internet Phone going away, what are the options available or an internet phone?
With Tesco discontinuing its internet VoIP service in the UK, what are the options available for a VoIP line (other than Vonage) for either prepaid - pay as you go or pay monthly? My need is to primarily have a UK based 'landline' number and mainly for receiving calls than making outbound calls (although that would be nice too)
1 AnswerOther - United Kingdom1 decade agoHow do you get a non PO Box address in another city?
So, you run a small business in a small unknown town. You do business nationwide and wants to have the 'feeling' of a bigger city look and feel. it is easy to get phone numbers with the area code of your choice, but with Mailboxes etc. disappearing, what option does one have if a company needs to have a 'address' on their record or website reflecting the city of their choice..
Any ideas? Remember, getting a USPS P O Box is NOT an option
1 AnswerCorporations1 decade agoHow to find a CODEC for an AVI?
I have a .avi file (video) that was created by an agency for me. The agency went out of business two years back and no one is available to help me. The .avi file works fine with Windows Media 9 (default player that comes with fresh Win XP installation) but not with higher versions. So, the question is how to do find exactly what CODEC is being used that will make this .AVI work on all versions of media player?
Again, the file works on a "CLEAN install" of Win XP/Media Player 9 but not on any other system (tried with several friends etc). Alternatively, are there any (free/inexpensive tools) that will allow me to convert this to a .mov file (quicktime)
Thanks
6 AnswersSoftware1 decade agoIs it possible to sync Sidekick II with Outlook - wihtout subscribing to the data service from T-Mobile?
I have an unlocked sidekick II and am able to make phone calls on it - but couldn't find a way to sync my outlook without subscribing to the data service and then paying for $9.99 for the intellisync download. Can anyone tell me if there is a free or inexpensive way to sync my outlook - even it is one time sync?
1 AnswerPDAs & Handhelds1 decade agoIn the United States, you turn on any electical switch by turning it up. Why is it that way?
I was wondering in Asia, India and Europe, you turn the switch on by clicking it down instead of the way we do in US. I am wondering why in US it is opposite of the rest of the world?
