Is it better to file a car insurance claim for medical on a hit and run or just use my medical insurance?
I was stopped on the highway in rush hour traffic and was hit from behind. The car that hit me left the scene and there is little to no visible damage to my car. I was injured by the impact though. The police officer said he would do an incident report, but took no information from me and basically implied that I imagined being hit. I'm not imagining the throbbing in my back though...

4 AnswersChristmas6 years agoHow do I change my iIPhone to send texts to a Windows OS cell phone?
My son had an iPhone but has recently changed to a phone with a Windows OS. Since he has changed, all my text messages are coming back as undeliverable. The explanation I got was that my phone is set so it went through Apple for other iPhones (Internet) rather than through cells. This doesn't happen with Android phones...only his so far. What changes do I need to make in my settings to be able to text him?
1 AnswerCell Phones & Plans7 years agoWhat part in the construction of a firework results in solid shrapnel?
During the "grand finale" at a friend's 4th of July celebration, the usual smaller pieces of grit and ash fell from the sky. However, at least one larger piece (possibly cylindrical) also fell. Could have been plastic or cardboard and at least an inch in diameter? Any thoughts on what part of the firework it was?
2 AnswersEngineering7 years agoWhat is the best approach to resolve a billing issue with a medical provider?
In November 2013, I was admitted to the hospital. One of the tests ordered was a CAT Scan. When they brought me there, I refused the test because I was unable to lay flat for the time the test would require. I never even got out of the wheelchair.
I was ill for several months after the hospitalization - and just paid bills as they came in. But now that I feel better - I realized that I paid the bill for the CAT Scan I never had.
As far as I am concerned, it is insurance fraud...and Deceptive Trade Practice but I really don't want to have to sue over an amount so small. What is the best way to approach the Radiology Company to get a refund?
4 AnswersInsurance7 years agoHow can I remove a stuck tail light socket to replace the bulb?
I'm turning it correctly, but it won't budge...
It is plastic...and 10 years old. I'm afraid a wrench will break the plastic. Penetrating oil will just melt it. Any suggestions?
4 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs7 years agoAre Blue Cross Blus Shield group premium payments paid by the employer at the beginning or end of the month?
My employer has discontinued our group policy (Blue Cross Blue Shield). My paycheck has a pretax withdrawal for my share of the payment which is deducted bi-weekly.
I went out and purchased a new private policy which complies with Obamacare - it's premium payment is paid at the beginning of the month.
My employer has still not ended the deduction for the Blue Cross Blue Shied insurance on the paycheck I received today. If it is paid at the beginning of the month, they have withheld 2-3 pay periods of my portion. If it is at the end, I guess I will see it in the next check.
Can anyone out there shed some light on this?
1 AnswerOther - Health7 years agoIs it true that under Obamacare a small employer can no longer pay for a portion an employes's insurance?
Got called into a meeting yesterday with my office manager and the company insurance agent. I was told that our group health policy was being cancelled and was presented with another policy under the Obamacare mandate. Part of my benefits package includes a employer contribution for my health insurance. I was told that my employer could no longer provide that under the guise of insurance. Is this true? - or are they trying to pull a fast one...

12 AnswersWeddings8 years agoWhat dress should the Mother of the Groom wear?
The wedding is at 4:00 p.m. The Bride is wearing white, but her colors are white, black and shamrock green. The Bride's mom passed away several years ago, but I expect her dad to be in a black tux/suit.
I would welcome suggestions on length, style, colors.
2 AnswersFashion & Accessories8 years agoWhat is considered appropriate attire for a job interview being held at a coffee house?
I am meeting a recruiter for an interview at a local coffee house rather than at his office. Normally, my profession is considered very conservative and I would wear a dress suit to an interview. Would this be out of place at Starbucks on a Saturday morning? Would something else be more appropriate?
1 AnswerOther - Careers & Employment9 years agoHow do I determine years of experience when changing careers?
I have worked in the legal industry for 13+ years and have done minor projects in CIS/IT during that time. I went back to school and got a BBA and am now looking to change over.
CIS bridges business and IT...my business is 13 years. My IT is less than 1.
How do I quantify this on these online posting services? They don't understand gray...and I want to be totally upfront with my experience.

1 AnswerOther - General Health Care9 years agoDo state inspection requirements on a vehicle apply to a vehicle driven out of state?
My son is away at college in New York State and is driving my vehicle which is registered in Texas. We have an annual state inspection here. Because the vehicle is not physically in Texas it is impossible to get it inspected. So until he is able to return to Texas and have the inspection renewed, will he have a problem with New York State enforcing the lack of the Texas inspection?
3 AnswersLaw Enforcement & Police1 decade agoIs there an easy way to reduce a lap sized afghan pattern down to a christening blanket?
My friend has asked me to make one for her. It it a shell pattern with treble crochets. The shells alternate on each row. I was thinking of trying a smaller hook with the same pattern, but I don't think it will get me as small as I need. Other ideas?
