My family is looking for a church. My husband is Catholic, and we've been told by 2 churches he'd have to be rebaptized to join them--which is stupid, so we left. My daughter and I visited a little church that happened to have less than 50 there last Sunday. It just looked so sad to me, though my daughter liked it. The pastor said they accepted Catholics; but there was so much about the casual dress and music I don't like. Should I take my children back there?

Would you tell anyone? I heard an autovoice thing that instructed to hang up and call 911; but then there was another message about if you want to hurt yourself or someone else push 9. Seemed very odd.

The one with the best success rate and who deals the best with people? My vote is Elliot Stabler on Law and order SVU. Can be literary, TV, or movies--who do you say?

What is the purpose of honking a car horn when texting is readily available? Kids wake me up every morning announcing their ride has come. Should I ask the neighbors to cut it out? Or should my car alarm randomly sound in the middle of the night to make my point no one wants to be awakened by horns?

the girl at the drug store recommended Seabreeze; but should she use some thing else or something with it? My daughter is 11, but has had her first pimple.

My daughter is 11; my son is 10. They are both good kids and we live in a suburb, that is generally safe. My daughter, and sometimes my son, have stayed home for an hour or two alone and have done fine. My concern is my husband and I are going to a downtown event 30 miles away that will last several hours into the evening getting us home at about 11 pm. It's on a school night.

It is a very special event I don't want to miss. My husband thinks the kids will be fine; I think an adult should be with them because of how far away we will be and how late the night will go. The kids should be in bed by 10, and while they go to bed when we are home, I'm not sure they will if someone isn't here to supervise.

Would they be okay alone, or should we find someone to watch them? We don't have a regular babysitter.

My daughter loves American girl dolls; how hard is it to sell home made clothes for these dolls?

I work full time; but my husband has a flexible schedule, so he picks up the kids from school and does homework after school. BUT, he sucks at it! Kids come home without school books; homework assignments are unknown, etc. I have threatened to quit my job just to get it done. The kids are 10 and 11 years old; they should have some responsibility. But why can he supervise effectively?
