  • Changing mortgage from fixed interest to tracker.?

Everyone I am bit confused about my mortgage and was just wondering if anyone can help.

I am about to buy a house, offer has been accepted, survey has been done (still waiting for the report) and I have already applied for a fixed rate mortgage through the Estate agent's mortgage advisor. But now I am doing some research on whether to get a 2 yr fixed rate mortgage or 2 yr tracker mortgage ( which has very good interest rate at the moment). My research shows that currently it might be a good bet to get tracker rather than fixed rate. My questions are -

    1. What do you think would be good, fixed or tracker considering the current market.

    2. Since I have already applied for a 2 yr fixed rate mortgage, so am I allowed to change my application for a 2 yr tracker with the same lender, with the same survey report?

Any comments and suggestions would be highly appreciated.

  • How to get the domain name from email in a batch?

    Hi all,

I am the IT administrator of a company. We are getting loads of junk emails. And I have to get the domain name of each email it is coming from and then block them separately. Every day I end up blocking 100's of email, going through each of them individually and get the domain name. Is there is any small piece of program that I can run on the spam emails just to get the domain name and put them together in a txt or xls file. In this way my job will be much more easier.

Or any other ideas to deal with the junk emails.

    Thanks in advance.
