  • If zombies are undead...?

Why do they have such a voracious appetite for brain and flesh? They certainly don't need it to keep on living, so why do they keep chasing after it?

  • Christians: How is Jesus reigning in heaven forever a sacrifice?

I never get any answers on this one, but I thought I'd try one more time.

I don't see how it's even a sacrifice, let alone the greatest sacrifice. Can anyone explain?

  • Does God follow the golden rule?

Would God enjoy burning alive forever? If not, why would he inflict such excessive harm on others?

  • If you went to heaven...?

But your entire family went to hell, would you still find it eternally blissful?

  • If hell is the absence of God....?

Do you admit God is not omnipresent?

If God is omnipresent...do you admit God is in hell?

  • Who made a bigger sacrifice?

Option #1: A person who did good/helpful work every day of their life, never caused unnecessary harm, happened to be the son of God, died, resurrected 3 days later and went to heaven to become the king of existence forever.

Option #2: A person who did good/helpful work every day of their life, never caused unnecessary harm, happened to be an atheist, died, and now burns in hell forever.

  • Please explain the appendix?

The appendix....science says its a shrunken down part of the digestive system that was used in more herbivorous ancestors. Creation/Design doesn't seem to have an answer. The appendix doesn't have any function, nor is it seen, so it can't be a design/gift.

On the other hand, it doesn't do anything particularly awful unless it bursts, and today we can remove a faulty appendix before that. So I don't see how it's some kind of curse of free will.

It's not bad, it's not good, it's just there, and only evolution has an explanation. Do you agree?

  • Why do atheists lash out against the FSM?

Is it because they know deep down in their hearts He really exists, but they don't want to admit they're wrong?

  • Why thirst, why hunger?

If God exists, what's the purpose of requiring us to eat, drink, urinate and defecate constantly?

If anyone can see how forcing us to starve/dehydrate if we don't eat/drink every day is a good thing, please enlighten me.

And if it's supposed to be punishment, what lesson is learned by peeing every few hours? It's not amazing, it's not horrible, it's just inconvenient.

If God is omnipresent, is God in hell?

  • Is the New Testament just as bad as the Old?

Many apologists claim the Old Testament is totally or mostly irrelevant to Christianity, despite it taking up more than half of their "unchanging, inspired word of God".

But let's put the OT aside, as most do. The New Testament introduced the idea of fire and torture in hell. It introduced Armageddon: a violent, bloody end to the earth. It talks about death to homosexuals and sinners, and tells women to stay silent in Church.

Sure, there's a lot less violence, but is the New Testament just as bad as the Old?

  • Is the FSM a God of love or hate?

Hello fellow Pastafarians (and gentiles). I've had a personal relationship with the FSM for years now, but I was looking through the Holy Cook Book and came across some strange info:

In Spaghexodus 15:3, the FSM tells us He is a man of war. However, 1 Carbinthians 14:33 states that the FSM is not the author of confusion, but peace. Can someone explain this to me?

  • Do chimpanzees go to heaven?

Say God is real, we were created in his image, and heaven exists.

Chimpanzees are 96% identical to humans, which would mean they are 96% God's image. That being said, isn't 96% a large enough percent to make it in the pearly gates?

Bananas would be 50% in his image, what about them?

  • Can you commit suicide and go to heaven?

If not, what about Jesus? He wasn't exactly oblivious or powerless to stop his death.

  • Is there anything outside of this universe?

By universe I mean the 3-dimensional space that we know is expanding. Do you think there are other dimensions (besides time)? Other "universes"? Something else entirely not thought of? Or do you think this space is all there is or all we can ever know?

  • On health care, why don't Democrats or Republicans talk about...?

Why don't Democrats or Republicans talk about the fact that under this plan, US citizens will be required to have some form of health insurance under penalty of fine?

Republicans politicians are always complaining about government intrusion, but never seem to mention those cases which benefit their sponsors. Democratic politicians are always complaining about breaking the stranglehold of insurance companies, but don't seem to mind sacrificing the public option and never mentioning mandatory insurance.

Wouldn't taxation or paying for the services we require make more sense than everyone paying insurance companies that are designed not to pay us back?

  • Would the middle east be better off without religion?

This is sort of a gimme for atheists, but I also want to know what theists think.

Do you think less religious literalism or less religion in general would help stabilize the middle east? Why or why not.

  • Some questions for Christians...?

    1. How often do you read your bible?

    2. Have you read the Bible cover to cover? How many times?

    3. What do you think about the Old Testament? No cherry-picking individual verses, what do you think of it as a whole?

    4. Do you read random books and passages, or the same general books and passages? Why?

    Just curious.

  • Would you trade places with Jesus?

Would you endure a few days of torture and death for the ability to be alive 3 days later, be 1/3rd god, the judge of mankind, and live in happiness forever?

Can what he supposedly did really be called sacrifice when he only sacrificed temporarily?
