I have a gradient backgraound in paint.net and I want to make a foreground picture s "transparent" background not show at all and just appear as the gradient, how do I do that?

I recently broke up with a girlfriend of three months mainly because we weren't close at all throughout the relationship but afterwards I've taken a liking to one of her friends, everything is okay between my ex and I but I'm not sure if I should ask her out and if it's okay, how long I should wait.

I have everything portforwarded in my router and firewall on both TCP and UDP, I am able to connect to it fine but nobody else is. Every tutorial I find is something I've already tried. I gave him the ip in my router, and the one that google gives me when I type "What is my ip?' Can someone please help???
