Has anyone else seen these documentaries? Deliver Us from Evil is about Father O'Grady, who was accused of child molestation from 1976 through th 1980s, and the church did nothing but move him to different churches.

Jesus Camp, by its own admission and subject, fanatical christians who brainwash their children as the new warriors for God.

Anyone like/dislike, or have an opinion on either of these?

Count me as a huge fan of Andre Rieu. I'll be seeing him in May and curious if anyone has been too or know what songs he's performing on his current tour, The Homecoming. Is it close to his latest CD "The Homecoming" or does he mix it up depending on the audience?

Outside of Ki-Duk films, which are mostly silent, do you think a full blown contemporary silent film would be successful? Would you go see it? Would it need to include a specific actor or actress, or would you see it over another filmif it was playing at the theater.

Kind of a general questions, but are you open enough to want to see a modern one done?

Good band? Bad band? Couldn't care less?

What do you people think about him? Is he talented and playing theater to everyone, or is he just another one trick pony shock rocker?

And this is in my experience only, I know not all of them go around announcing their sexuality, but every single gay person at one point or another, insisted on telling me and others that they're gay. And throughout the course of any given conversation, they make a remark that further punches home their preference, constantly! Why?

I don't go around telling people I'm a hetrosexual, and really, it isn't too hard to pick up on a guy who's out of the closet so to speak. I get if the guy takes steps to conceal his sexual preference and finally decides to open up. That's understandable.

Is there a compelling urge to disclose this (obvious) information as if it's going to change anything? How insecure does one have to be to resort to and ensure their friends and co-workers are furnished with and constantly reminded of this fact. Are they trying to convince themselves that it's ok? Or is it just a nugget of information that they think makes them unqiue little snowflakes?

I appear to be in the minority here, but Atom Heart Mother is my preferred Floyd album of all time, followed closely by Meddle and Saucerful of Secret. I love ALL the cds (well, everything up until and including The Final Cut).

Let's say you're at work or school and you receive a letter from someone you don't know. This person ask you to contact them about an issue (say its work related) but you find out this person doesn't even work in the area to which he's claiming.

There is nothing really mean or explicit in the letter, as it comes off like they did an inspection or something in your area. He leaves an email address to contact him

You pretty much assume he's just trying to hit on you. How do you take that? SHould he have just came out and said, Hi, my name is XXXX and I see you around and I think you're an attractive woman, blah blah blah.

Or is this acceptable form of flirting or getting someone's attention. Now, one other factor to throw in there, you work in a place where a good percentage of the population suffers from substance abuse and/or mental disorders (not saying the employees do, but some do) Does that make you more cautious?

Innocent flirting or suspectful and creepy?

The film was inappropriately suggestive, the main character had no personality, and the film veered off course at least twice ending in a sappy social commentary. It had a pimp, dirty dancing, and thematically dealt with getting laid and not love! (OK, I liked the spanish/mexican penguings)

There's a classical piece that was in the trailer for Pride and Prejudice, and was also in Kubrick's Barry Lyndon. I've downloaded most of the songs from Barry Lyndon but it's not the one.

I can't seem to find it. It's start with a solo instrument (possibly flute or high end of a violin).It's a rather upbeat piece..Anyone know?

Just getting a feel for the fine people on this board. Who's films do you enjoy more when it comes to surrealism and/or expressionist filmmaking? Any particular quality or style you prefer from one director?
