In the past I've been friendly with a coworker who's very aggressive and must always be right. To shorten a long story the other day, after I asked her something, she threw her hands in the air and shrieked at me. This sort of thing has happened many other times along with name calling. This was the final straw. I told her from now on I will not have general conversations with her (which she of course said was childish). I now say hello and goodbye and speak only of work related issues.

 My boundaries to protect myself,

I have a birthday coming up and we've exchanged gifts in the past but I no longer want anything from her. How do I tell her I want nothing for my birthday without her blowing another gasket?

I work with a lady who always seems to find a way to tie everything back to her. If someone knows something she will say she already knew that, if someone calls with a question that only she can answer I will say that they need to speak to the office manager and she will pick up the phone and say she's the office manager (she sits right by me and knows I tell people that). She spends time on the phone just about every day trying to solve her friends problems, etc. If she's insecure I get it, but it still makes me totally crazy.

As a Christian how can I best handle this? I hate being frustrated and negative about this.

I have a terrier that is protective when he hears noise of genuine concern. He's not a yappy dog that barks at every little sound, only for just reason, but once I've let him sound his alarm of warning I want him to stop when I tell him to be quiet. His protection seems to override his listening skills in this matter.

Please don't tell me to use a shock collar, I don't want to discourage him from letting others know he's there and on the job.

Why do you think Lay's potato chips lists the chips as lemon (Limon) flavored, but prints the bags with pictures of limes?

Our neighborhood is all one-story apartment buildings. We have LOTS of kids and they can be rather troublesome at times. In my building we have a tree at each of two corners of the building, planted close enough for the kids to gain access to the roof. Of course if one of these young/teen "darlings" falls it will result in a lawsuit against my landlord. Short of cutting down the trees, can you suggest some creative methods to impede the kids from climbing the trees to get on the roof? My landlord thought of painting tar of the trunks, will that harm the trees?

A friend of mine had a father that was very wealthy and her oldest brother is the executor of the will. Her father died almost two years ago and the brother has still not disclosed the terms of the will, not dispersed any funds. Is there a legal amount of time in Illinois by which the terms of the will must be settled?

I work in a very small doctor's office and my direct supervisor is the office manager. She regularly eats while she's on the phone and it makes no difference if it's a friend (during lunch), a patient who's called in, or an insurance company she's dealing with. She'll eat such noisy foods as chips and celery without any realization that this sounds like garbage!!! I can hear her across the room, I can imagine what the people on the phone think. The doctor sees patients in nursing homes and is never in the office to hear this. How do I delicately tell her how unprofessional and rude this is? It makes me crazy!

I'm not stupid, but politics really is like speaking a foreign language to me. Can someone plainly explain to me how electoral votes are decided? Why is there an electoral collage to cast votes rather than voting being strictly by popular vote?

I seem to be at a loss to figure out why people with no spirituality or belief in God choose to hang out in an area for those with religion or spirituality just to mock us. I work in a geriatric psychiatrist's office and enter patient information provided by the nursing homes where they reside. Why is it that now all ethnicity sems to be based on whether or not the patient is Hispanic or not. They will list a patient as Causation, not of Hispanic origin. Why is that?

My soon to be daughter-in-law lives in AZ and I live in IL. I've tried a number of ways to get to know her a bit and try to get her to open up to me, all to no avail. I've send a few texts to just say good morning, or ask how she's doing, tried to connect on FB, and asked if there was anything I could do to help with the wedding arrangements. All communication has gone unanswered. Do you have any ideas on what I could do better or different in order to try and get to know her?

I have a set of 4 plastic McDonald's plates, there is one for each season. They've never been used. How do I find the value of these? They are from 1977. I've tried to check the internet but just seem to go around in confusing circles.

If you do why would you answer the questions of those who are lost with sarcasm, name calling, criticism, or hatefulness? I see so many hateful responses from alleged Christians and it breaks my heart. These types of replies only create more hatred for the Lord and His children. Please use patience and love. Several weeks ago the office I work for received a bill for four years of service for computer maintenance. Though we had an agreement with this small business to handle some of our computer issues, we were never notified when they were working on the computers (they work off-site) and they have not provided an itemized list of dates and times, just a bill for 4 years of alleged service. In Illinois are their laws regarding timely submission of billing for this type of issue?
