I read that this model has a `slip' clutch. Can I replace it with a HD regular clutch? Also it won't shift into 2nd gear[ I have to bi-pass to 3rd] but otherwise it shifts fine. Could it be just the linkage ?

What's the big hype about the .17HMR cartridge ? It is fast but from what I've read it doesn't have the energy of a hyper-velocity .22 . I am thinking about a .22 Mag with a bull barrel. I don't want to spend over $200 and I won't be shooting over 100 yds.

My 4x4 in my 1988 S-10 suddenly stopped working. It had been working fine and when I went to put it in 4 wheel drive yesterday, I had no 4x4 [high or low]. The 5 speed seems fine otherwise.Any ideas ? It seems that I had to replace some `switch' a few years ago maybe on the transfer case, but I can't remember.

Do I measure from the center of the wheels[ front to back ] or is there a tag somewhere.? It's a 1988 S-10 long bed and I think it's 118"

I have a friend that has had a major heating oil company deliver her

kerosene and put in outside tanks for the last several years.

Recently there was a somewhat large oil leak that leaked fuel into the ground near her home. And about 15 feet from her drilled well.

The Environmental Services have been notified and work is already

underway to remove the contaminated soil. The lawn has been torn

up from the equipment and the phone line [new] has been dug up

already. It was marked `Dig Safe'. The removal of the soil is being taken care of by a grant of some sort I guess. But who is liable for the damages to the property ? What if the Well becomes contaminated. Who pays to drill a new one?

I say the Oil company should be responsible and should have checked the tanks etc. to make sure that they were safe before putting fuel into them. I don't feel that my friend should have to pay for anything. Please tell me that the Oil company can't get away with having her pay for it

I had a new oil furnace installed in the crawl space under my mobile home. Now I need a new tank, which is now outdoors.

A rep for Irving Oil recommended that I put it in the garage, which is under a new addition. The problem is that the tank would be about 8 feet lower than the furnace. How will the oil get to the furnace without a pump ? They say it will work without one. Anyone know for sure ? Thanks

I have a 2 year old pet rabbit [kept in large cage in house]

She has not been eating her regular diet of hay, grain, carrots etc. for a couple of days now. We took her to the Vet's yesterday and they said she had a bladder infection and gave her medicine.

She still won't eat . What can I feed her ?
