Can you suggest a play, for High School Students, where the main characters are children?
I'd love to do the Putnam County Spelling Bee, but we have a musical selected for this year. I am looking for something that would be like this. I feel like I have read something before, but I can't remember what it would be. I am open to suggestions, but a comedy about children would be great!
4 AnswersTheater & Acting1 decade agoAny tips for air travel with a toddler?
I am going alone to visit my parents. My 20 month old has flown before, but my husband and in-laws were with. I have packed a number of special toys, a video IPOD and snacks. What I would love are specific things that have worked for you. Especially people who have traveled with new restrictions. He is super busy!! What would not be appreciated are suggestions not to fly (not an option) or use Benedryl (he reacts)

2 AnswersOther - United States1 decade agoLooking for a good couples place for dinner that is casual, not too pricey and outside if possible.?
I know it's specific, but we are staying in the River North Area, for our first post baby overnight date. We have tickets to the matinee of Spelling Bee and want to eat dinner soon after in a 1/2 mile radius.
I love eating outsie, but it needs to be a place we can have a good dinner and conversation, not some trendy expensive place.
Any Ideas?

7 AnswersEthnic Cuisine1 decade agoHoles in my Chicago Yard?
I have live in my house for 5 years. I have seen 1-2 holes like this before, but now my whole front yard is filled with holes! They are big enough to fit a broomstick in, and I have at least 20 in a tarp size space.
Any ideas of what it is or what I can do?

We have been planning an anniversy outing, and our first overnight away for June 23. Now, my husband and my mother in law think we should go next weekend. He does go to day care 2x a week for 8 hours, and he has stayed with my m in law for 8 hours before, but 24-30 seems like so much!

My husband and I are celebrating our 5th anniversary downtown chicago this summer. We have play tickets too, so we don't want to go out of our way to eat, but we want a good dinner. We aren't super fancy people, and don'e like to spend a fortune on dinner. We love unique and no-chain places. Any suggestions in the Water Tower area?

2 AnswersChicago1 decade agoOf the Sandals resorts or other Adults only All Inclusive, who has the best beach?
My husband and I are thinking of taking a 5 year trip, our first since baby. We want tropical, all inclusive, and no kids! But the most important feature of a resort to us, is a big beach where we can relax and have a little privacy. We hate being stacked on top of people on vacation.
Where have you been that is a romantic easy going spot?

My 7 month old is preparing to fly to his uncles wedding in Key west. So we'll be on a puddle jumper too. I'd love to know any tricks on getting an extra seat or any savvy advice. I've heard about benedryl and would prefer not to use it. Any other must knows

5 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoNeed some help planning a hands off Christmas Menu?
My mother-in-law is not the worlds best cook, and whenever i offer to help she says "bring the wine". But if I say "oh I have a grat recipe for_____. Can I bring it?" She'll say yes, she just doens' want to put me out. Well, for years our Chrismas eve dinner has been crab legs, salad, bread and pie. But my new sis in Law is allergic to shellfish, so we need a new menu.
She is thinking of making a roast, and I'd love to bring or suggest some easy hands off side dished to compliment the beef. Spefically a potato or veggie idea that can be tossed in the same oven or warm in a crock pot.
3 AnswersEntertaining1 decade agoIs this teething stuff, or should I be looking at something else?
My son is drooling like crazy, and biting on everything. But this week he has also been waking up screaming every 2 hours, and has lost his appitite. He would rather look at me than nurse. I still can get 2-3 good feeding a day, but other feedings have gone from 30 minutes to 5minutes. He's also got a runny nose.
13 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoIs this common for babies?
My 4 month old had a check up, and the doctor said he has a murmer. I have a murmer, so I wasn't worried. Then he said he wants us to go to a childrens hospital for a eco-cardiogram to see what the problem is. Now I am freaking out! Did this happen to you or someone you know?
18 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoMy 3 month old has a suffy nose, Suggestions?
He's been stuffed up for almost a week. I don't want to run to the doctor with everything, but I'm not sure if I should. he has not had a fever, and now he has a little cough too (it's so sad). If I have to restrain him to use the aspirator again, I might die. We are taking warm baths with the Johnsons cold vapor bath, and I am using an over the counter decongestiont they said I could use last time. Any ideas?
