  • Why are there US questioners on this site?

Is there anyone on this site who's not American? I thought this was supposed to be UK & Ireland, but everyone so far seems to be from the US?

  • What on earth have BT Yahoo done to their mail?

I can't swap between old and new as they say you can. Now I haven't even get an outbox button OR , more importantly, a 'compose' button - so I'm effectively STUCK! All I can do is read incoming mail! They say you can swap and change between old and new mail at will , but the button they tell you to click to do this just isn't there! Is it me?

  • Leaving puppy till 1 ir 2 (again)?

Didn't mean to cause any offence It just seems such a ridiculous thing to say-and it aint no more polite to go OUTside to the bathroom because there isn't one outside. What I was getting at is the way we have to say 'go to the bathroom' instead of the 'lavatory,' if that's where you're going..My bathroom doesn't have a lavatory-it's seperate. The point I'm trying to make it that it is ridiculous to think of a dog 'going to the bathroom' . All that was needed was ' take the dog out,' and we would all have realised what what going to happen! Oh and to that one person who had to lower to thone, sh*t was NEVER EVER mentioned

  • Puppy on its own from 1till 2?

Who's the nut who said you could take your puppy to use the bathroom? Honey, dogs don't use the bathroom, they pee and poo outside!

  • Oh Dear!!!! I posted a question about apostrophes . Why?

My question seems to have made things (no apostrophe required)! It has nothing to do with plurals. It has to do with possession or ownerships(as in Peter's book )etc. or where there is a letter missing ( as in "it's" -instead of "it is" but NOT in " the dog lost its toy"(don't me why!) and most definately not for quotation marks which look like this " ". I don't (do not) think text speak is anything to do with it because I text and understand it's (it is)different. An apostrophe can change the meaning of things and how can it be "lazy"to put an apostophe in where there shouldn't be one? Like the menus: chip's, pea's...the chip's what? You are insinutatin that the chip owns something. I'd I had better give in as I seem to be in the minority ..There must be someone out there who's had English grammar lessons!

  • Why doesn't anyone seem to know how to use apostrophes any more?

You see signs like "Egg's and chip's" on menus and stuff when there should be no apostrophe. Every time there is an "s" people put an apostrophe. It's driving me mad! Don't they teach grammar at school anymore?
