  • can I ask those of you who call yourselves Christians, a question?

do you follow all of God's commandments? I mean from the first one, "be fruitful and multiply" to the ten commandments, to Jesus' last commandment, "go into all world and preach the Gospel to every creature"? can any of us truly say yes on every single one? for example, how many of us follow the "remember the sabbath to keep it holy. six days shall you work and on the seventh shall you rest."? the Sabbath is the seventh day of the week, Saturday, not the first, sunday. we should keep the seventh day holy and worship God on this day. who was the one to institute sunday as the day to worship God, the roman catholic church under the first pope Constantine in the late 300s ad. he made sure to make it illegal for true Christians to worship on the Sabbath. it is time we take back our sabbath worship rights. like many of you I was oblivious to the sin I was committing. it is time we started keeping God's commands and laws under the new covenant that Jesus made with mankind. we need to keep God' laws, but without all the bloodshed and unforgiveness of the old testament laws that moses wrote. who will be among the first to speak up on sunday in church and recommend that they start to follow God's true day of worship?

  • for fellow christians and believers in God, please help?

i m almost certain a few people have asked this question before. i am not sure because i never paid them any attention, or was on at the wrong time. so to my question. how can we distinguish the voice of God from our own hearts, and how can we tell the difference between what God want, what we want, and what the devil is trying to get us to do? how can we truly know the difference? i know that we shoud compare it to the bible. but how do we know what God's plan is for our lives? how can we be certain that what we are doing is God's will and not what we think is God's will? is there a test to follow? i do not understand. this doubt has been with me for years. and i am getting frustrated with this doubt, because it is not going away. i am 26 and i still d not know what i am to do with my life. all my christian friends either knew or started doing what God had called them to do before that age. what am i supposed to do? how am i supposed to serve God when i do not know what he wants from me? please help?

  • to all jews out there?

i looked at your calendar. this year is 5772. so does that mean that it has been 5772 years since moses led the israelites, your ancestors out of bondage? or does it go further back in history? please let me know. i somehow have a doubt.

  • can anyone answer this question i have about the bible?

i was reading the account of moses and the israelite slaves. it does not mention how long they were slaves. the consensus is that it was 400 years. but i cannot find any refference to that. can anyone help? it would actually help date the human race. i know it is between 7822 and 8262 years depending on how long they were slaves, and how old moses was when he led the israelites out of egypt. any help in this issue would be more than welcomed.

  • can anyone help me find some bible verses on the topic of unity in the church?

for a few years now, the message of unity in the church has been growing heavier in my soul. just recently, i felt the urge to act on it by writing a letter to the head of each church in my town. i am having troubles with it. no matter what i do, i cannot find verses of encouragement to come together. i can only find verses that rebuke. can someone help? can someone post something that i can use as a reference? i would like to have it completed by next sunday. that is a completely edited version too.

i already posted this question once, but i didnt get very many answers. to those who did answer, many thanks. to those who do answer thank you in advance. to those trolls, please do not answer. it is not nice and not funny. this is a legitimate question that deserves no less than a legitimate answer.

  • only serious answers please. why are there so many different teachings about the rapture?

first, if you are here to only get points, get lost. i want legitimate answers. second. in one day, i heard three different teachings about the rapture. if it is possible, could anyone provide bible verses that explain the rapture? i know in the book of revelation it says that the dead in Christ shall rise from the grave and meet Christ in the air. but it did not say anything about the living in Christ. so could someone explain their beliefs and have bible references to back them up please. i am a christian, i have only a few doubts. since there are so many different teachings on this subject, i am convinced that only one is right, but i do not know which. that is why i ask for bible references. and if any pastors, or church leaders want to ring in on this, that would be excellent.

like i said in the first sentence, if you clicked on this to only get points or to harass and mock and abuse, then i will report you. trolling is wrong and reportable. so if you are a troll, go back to the forum and leave the answering to the legitimate answerers. thank you.

  • i have a coin and want to know. what is it worth?

it is a united states presidential one dollar coin, gold coloured. on the one side, the statue of liberty, says $1, and the words united states of america. on the edge it says, in god we trust, and, 2008, and, e pluribus unum. on the other side it has james monroe, his name and the words, 5th president, 1817-1825. i am in canada. i got it as a loonie in my change one day at mcdonalds. i figured that an american spent it because it looked like our loonie. i certainly thought that until i looked at it a few seconds later. i know that it might be a collectors item, and i was wontering what it was worth. i know for a fact that it is worth more than a dollar in both the us and canada.

  • Why are there Christians who do not believe the Genesis account is accurate?

God told Moses to write the first five books of the bible. God told moses all of Genesis. it is God's word. why do you not believe it? i am talking about the creation week. it says that God created the earth, the universe and everything in the earth, all in six days and the seventh day God rested.

    1. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

    2. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

    3. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

    4. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

    5. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

    6. And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

    7. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

    8. And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

    9. And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

    10. And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

    11. And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

    12. And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

    13. And the evening and the morning were the third day.

    14. And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

    15. And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

    16. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

    17. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

    18. And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

    19. And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

    20. And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.

    21. And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

    22. And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.

    23. And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

    24. And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.

    25. And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

    26. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

    27. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

    28. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

    29. And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

    30. And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

    31. And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

according to the bible it was six 24 hour periods. nothing in the bible says anything different. to say that any part of the bible is wrong is to say that all the bible is wrong. the bible is the God inspired, written Word of God. saying that these are not 24 hour periods is like me saying world war two lasted for 30 years. all historians in the world would yell at me and call me an idiot. either you believe all the bible or no

  • Could anyone scientifically explain this passage in the bible: Joshuah 1:1 - 6:27?

in it we read how the iraelites cross the Jordan river during the flood season, the come to Jericho, mach around the city once a day for six days, then on the seventh day they march around the city blowing horns and yelling. the walls then come down except for one small section. i would like someone to prove how this could happen using science.

  • A question for atheists in north america?

when are you going to read the history books and realize that the north american countries were founded by Christians and Catholics and therefore have laws based on the bible. up until 30 years ago, prayer was part of school life and government life. in the usa, on your currency it says "In God We Trust". on the government buildings in canada parts of the bible are written. the ten commandments are actually the basis for basic human rights throughout the world. the founders of each country used the bible to create the laws that we uphold. why can't you people realize that? Why do you try to fight it? why have you changed what your forefathers fought so hard for? your forefathers came to these countries because they were offered peace under God. why do you dishonour them by attacking their beliefs?

  • why are there so many stupid questions?

why are there so many people asking questions in the religion and spirituality section, that have nothing to do with religion or spirituality? why are there so many questions that mock or make fun of or harass those that have faith and have beliefs? why not ask a question because you are genuinely curious and genuinely want to know? then why are there so many answers that do the same thing? why mock, make fun of and harass those that ask the genuine questions? are you too scared or too stupid to be real about it?

  • I had a really vivid dream about six months ago. could anyone interpret it?

it had something to do with vampires and i cant remember what i was doing, but i became one of them and i met this girl and her older sister. i happened to be very fond of the eight year old girl, kind of as if she were my own daughter. somehow her people were under threat of a plague, and i was given a small amount of the cure which i drank. i was told that that was all the cure that was made an i could save only two people by kissing them on the mouth.well somehow the people came under attack from their rivals and i took the little girl and her older sister to an outside root cellar. i explained to them that their people were under attack not only by a plague, but also by their rivals and that the only way to survive was for me to kiss them and leave them in that cellar till nightfall.so i gave the little one a peck on the lips. an she asked, ``now wat about her´` indicating her older sister. now it comes to the mot vivid part. this part is the part that i remember with the most clarity and i remember it flawlessly. i looked at her and she had dark chocolate coloured hair, rose pink skin as smooth as silk, eyes the color of the sky on a clear bright day, her cheeks were speckled with only a few freckles, her lips were a deep red rose color. i ran my fingers through her hair and it felt as soft as water, as light as air. i breathed in as i drew near to her and smelled lilacs from her hair, even though there were non around, i smelled maple from her skin. when i kissed her it was like tasting peaches and strawberries. the kiss lasted for hours, days even. when we separated, the world seemed to glow with a golden light. then i closed the door and told them not to open it to anyone but me. then i woke up and i could still smell and taste her. heck to this day i can still picture her, smell her and taste her. each time i do i get the feeling that something is missing. can you figure out what this means.
