  • I am a looking to buy my first home & would like to take out a second loan at the same time to cover related expenses.?

I am in the market for a mortgage (I want to buy my first house) but would also like to take out a second loan - not sure if it would be an equity loan or personal loan or what it would be called, at the same time to cover moving costs, closing costs, and some other expenses when I first move in. What is the best way to do this?

Take them out at the same time from the same lender (should I mention it to them when applying for a mortgage with them)?

Should I get the second loan first? Through a bank like Citibank? After getting the mortgage?

Should I get the second loan first the apply for a mortgage?

Or is there another process for this entirely?

Sorry looking for some advice as I am not sure what the best way to do this is.

  • What sites are there for getting a powershell script written (it might be able to be written in another way)?

I need a powershell script written (perhaps it could be written in another way). What are the best sites for this? I don't think it would be overly complex. I would prefer it to be free but I don't mind paying a few bucks to get it done.

  • How to remove old wax (lots of it) from beautiful carnival glass vase shaped candle holders?

Question for the creative people out there. I have 6 BEAUTIFUL carnival glass (that shiny, orangy colored glass) candle holders (big vase shaped ones) that are about 1/2 full of really old wax. I would love to be able to clean the wax out of them and use them for other things (like vases) because the glass is gorgeous. Ideas on how to remove the wax? I have tried putting one in the freezer than chipping out the wax but that resulted me in breaking one of them. I could burn the bulk of the wax but it doesn't smell great and would take a long time. Ideas? Thanks!

  • What are the laws governing a cafe/restaurants trash/dumpster in Southern California?

I live behind a strip of shops/cafes. One in particular is HORRIBLE about their trash. They leave their dumpsters open ALL the time, leave trash NEXT to it, sometimes in bags, sometimes not. They leave massive piles of cardboard boxes near it. This causes trash from the dumpster and piles to blow all around including into my building. It also causes health issues cause when I sit in my apartment with the windows open I can smell trash, which doesn't smell good causing my face to swell and sparking an allergic response. I go over and close their dumpster all the time (at least once a day). Now they have gotten a bigger dumpster but they built a metal bar next to it which prevents it from being closed (you can't get the lid over the bar) and it appears to be soldered on so there is no way for me to move the bar. I have tried talking with them, but they are a bunch of j*rks. The owner first pretended not to know English, then that he wasn't the owner, then he pretended the trash in and next to his dumpster WASN'T HIS (even tho the name of the cafe is on the boxes), then he played the victim accusing me of not being "nice". The people who go there aren't much better. It's a very small cafe but they try to act like a full blown restaurant. What is the law and what can be done? Other people in my building have tried talking to them too with the same results. They were a problem about a month before they even opened!

  • Are there any programs (for the PC - windows 7) that let you download full sized versions of pictures from a website?

Are there any programs (for the PC - windows 7) that let you download full sized versions of pictures from a website? I have tried several but they all seem to just grab the thumbnails from the main page, instead of drilling down into each page to extract the full sized (larger) picture there... Thanks.

  • I have a older desktop where the little tabs are broken off the case cover.?

I have a older desktop where the little tabs are broken off the case cover. The case covers sit nicely back on the computer but without those little tabs won't lock into place so as soon as you move it or stand it up it falls off. Is there anyway to fix this other than gluing them on? Thanks.

  • What do you call those beige or black case brackets that sit on the outside of a computer case?

What do you call those beige or black case brackets that sit on the outside of a computer case? They snap in or out easily (usually). You know, they sit on the outside of the case and behind them is a blank spot in the case, or a hard drive... Need to buy one (a beige one) and for the life of me I can t figure out what to call it in my search... an easy 10 points for the first right answer! :0 Thanks!

  • just to make sure I understand how the gauges go when cutting sheet metal with a pair of snips...?

just to make sure I understand how the gauges go when cutting sheet metal with a pair of snips...

the bigger the number, the thinner the sheet metal - right? so a 23 is thinner than 20?

so... a snips that says it cuts up to a 23 won't cut a 20, right? it cuts all the number higher than 23, not lower?

just making sure i got that right in my head...

    thanks

  • Who can you donate to in SoCal where you'll get an actual tax write off instead of a generic receipt?

Who can you donate to in Southern California where you'll get an actual tax write off instead of a generic receipt? Salvation Army and Goodwill just give you a general receipt -- but that's no good for the IRS... I am donating music cds and have 3 office boxes full of them. The receipt would only say 3 boxes donated... Not 300 cds... So if ever audited I couldn't prove I really donated 300 cds... They also don't give you a value for them... So I have no idea how that would work on my taxes... I don't mind driving to the charity... Suggestions?

Is the megapolis hack tool 2013 a virus? My anti-virus keeps flagging it as a trojan horse... I realize by the nature of what it does this could be a false positive... But I was wondering if anyone is really using it and did they open a door on their computer? I have downloaded it but am afraid to install it in case it really is a virus. Please only respond if you actually have downloaded it and installed it... Thanks!

  • No display on Samsung pl200 digital camera everything else works!?

Have a Samsung Pl200 digital camera -- EVERYTHING on it works just great EXCEPT no display. It takes pictures, i can copy them to my computer, etc. I have tried everything I can do to get it to come back on, but still nothing. So... has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas on how to fix it?

I have pushed every button... didn't work... as far as i can tell there is no reset button on it... it's out of warranty so I'd have to pay to get it serviced which I don't have the fund for besides for the same price I could just buy a new camera...

Kinda frustrating cause although I can take pictures without the display you can't see if you're in frame, etc... you're just taking them blindly...

  • What is a good, free bookmark sorter utility / program?

What is a good, free bookmark sorter utility / program? I tried a few but they were horrible... So instead of taking lots of time trying out other thought I would throw it out there to the general public for their thoughts and suggestions? Thanks.

A couple of features I would love (but not required) would be a duplicate checker / remover and a check for dead links type of features too. Thanks again.
