  • Teaching cows Tricks?

I know it's possible and they are just as smart as horses and remember things longer I just am wondering how does on go about training them? I've been doing research and I think I'm going to mix dog and horse training into one strange way of doing it but I was just wondering if anyone had a special way already and what I should teach her? I'm working on halter training right now but once that's down I want to teach her bow, hoof, and give a kiss.

  • This is an honest to god Question: Would you pay some one to help you pick and find the best care for your animals?

    Hello!

Let me tell you what! I AM SOO SICK AND TIRED OF THIS! People buy pets without doing any looking up. I mean they have animals in compelety wrong care and no nothing about them and are too lazy to do their own research. I have seen so many videos and pictures and people telling others or showing other what they have and everything is wrong. So if you didn't want to do anything would you Pay someone to help you? I mean like... Help you get the right stuff you need, the information you need, find a vet or vets, and or other things? and if so how much would you pay for it?

  • Can I do this? Ball python owners preferably.?

    Hello!

So due to some personal problems I need to switch rooms with my brother and I can no longer house my Rodents and snakes in different rooms. I have three BP's.. a 12 year old, a 11 year old, and a 2014. Now I have eight rats, two guinea pigs, and one mouse. Should they be bothered by the smell? I really don't want to re-home anyone but I want the best for my animals. But the snakes eat frozen rats a frozen hopper mice. they smell different then live so should it be okay? I mean I would give them a few days to settle in and I would feed them before they go in the room so their full. but uhh will it be okay? Have you done it or do you do it?

  • Is it stupid to own this many pets?

I can afford them and I have the time for them but the rest of my family such as my grandmother doesn't like how I have so many. She says I should be doing more girly things not talking to my pets and caring for them... Mum is just sad I don't have many friends but that really doesn't bother me. I'm not a people person unless they like that I like and stuff. Anyway I have

    1 dog

    1 mouse

    2 cats

    3 pattys

    3 Guinea Pigs

    3 Ball Pythons

    3 hermit crabs

    8 rats

    8 goldfish

  • Would this work for a virarium?

So I'm building a Ball Python Virarium in a 125 gallon for two ball pythons. Please don't chaises me about keeping two together and how that I should keep them in bins. Any way Every where I read and watch says I need Hydroballs but the bags at the pet store are like six bucks for a tiny bag... I'm going to need more then 50 bags... and I looked around on amazon and stuff for normal gardening ones but can't find any with decent reviews. So what if I just put in a layer or fish tank rocks? I mean it would do the same thing right?

  • Goldfish slime problem maybe?

So I have eight gold fish in a ten gallon tank... I know they need a bigger one in fact I'm resealing a 30 gallon as we speak and when it gets warm and stuff again I'm building them a pond in my back yard where they can live happily for the rest of their lives. But the water is fine no high anything and they have a huge bubbler and an extra big filter that isn't so strong they are being sucked up into it. Anyway I noticed one of my fish has a white coat of stringy stuff on him. He is fine there is nothing he could have scratched himself on... I don't have any thing in the tank but gravel and I gave them a ping pong ball to play with along with a practice golf ball with holes in it so it sinks. I have sat next to them and watched them for like four hours and I didn't see any one picking on others not even when I feed them. Goldfish don't have bellies so they get four small meals everyday and in between them they get to pick on what ever I put on my tank clips. Sometimes they get fruit sometimes they get greens. I always make sure its safe for them though. They seem to be very happy goldfish... but what do you think the white stringy stuff is? I can't take any pictures because my camera wouldn't down load I wish I could.

  • Switching over to rats now on Hunger strike?

So I have two older ball pythons and the lady got them from was feeding them multiple mice every ten days. I mean four to five mice for the girl and two mice for the male because he wouldn't take any more then that. The girl has had two large rats and is awesome with eating. The male on the other hand has only eaten one and has refused two feedings. The first time he ate it awesomely. He grabbed it faster then Meg did and had it done in 15 minutes. the secound time I offered a rat he didn't eats it. I wiggled it, heated up it's head, it started bleeding from it's nose, and tried the next day... nothing not even a sniff. I put it in front of him dragged it around NOTHING! so I tried again yesterday because I need to feed my third snake who needs to be fed every five days. I scented the rat with her mouse as well as scented the mouse with rat so maybe it will be easier to switch her over latter. Any way Castiel is underweight due to not being able to eat so many mice and I am in the process of fattening him up so he'll be okay. He doesn't have worms before I got him and the girl that came with him both got a check up so I wouldn't be getting sick snakes. Will he be okay? should I try a mouse? or should I just tough it out and try not to worry. I get that it is winter and they go off food sometimes around this tiime of year but he is under weight... he doesn't even have fat deposits around his tail.

  • BELLY BURN BABY BALL PYTHON!!!?

So I ended up with another snake for chrismas and well She has a heat pay because ball pythons require belly heat. and well I thought the bedding was thick enough and it wasn't so she has like a half inch crack on her belly scales by her tail so i know it's a burn. shes a het pied and I wanted to get into breeding with her in a few years. Will this prevent her from being able to breed when shes older? I'm so worried not about the breed part but for her well being I love my baby even though I've had her only for a few days. shes one of the chillest snakes I have ever met. and she is soooo pretty!

  • Hermit Crab Question?

Okay... So this was not my idea.

We were going to get my sister a trio of mice after everything settled down but I ended up getting a Ball python yesterday as a present. Of corse my sister being my sister demanded a pet and so we ended up going to pet co on the way home from the other pet store. Now I told her she shouldn't get them because they don't make good pets ESPECIALLY an impulse buy! They hard to take care of and require more space then a ten gallon tank. My Sister just kept on going at it and we ended up getting three of them. they cost us eighty bucks. We had to get EVERYTHING for them. My snake was only 45 including two months worth of food. Any way one of the ones she picked out hasn't moved ever. like we haven't seen him or her move not even in the pet store but my idiot sister had her heart out on the lady bug shell and didn't want to get another. So now I am left to telling her it might be dead but I'm not sure because it's curled up tight in it's shell. the other two are just fine in fact the biggest just pinched my sister. But could Little lady bug be molting or is she dead because I have no idea and binge reading on them all night has not helped on bit. I hope it's not dead because the little sucker cost 10 dollars and we can't bring it back Moneys tight right now. Please someone give me and my mother some good news.

  • Help! I very worried!?

So I just got my new Het pied baby ball python. I was setting up her cage and some how she wiggled out of the kritter keeper she was in so I asked my cousin to hold her for a secound so I could attach her heat pad to the tank and I heard a scretch and a thunk. SHE DROPPED MY LITTLE ABBADON! She seems fine but I'm worried shes a 2014 and still under a foot long and stuff. Shes moving around and the drop was only maybe a bit more then 6 inches. But is she okay or will she be okay? I'm angry are my cousin because she was holding my much bigger much older Ball pythons just fine an hour earlier. and she said she got scared because she was moving. What the Heck! But Abbadon looks okay shes moving around. But she landed on her back not her belly and I heard the thunk. will she be okay?

  • Am right in thinking this is the rule of thumb for snakes?

The cage should be at least as long as the snake?
