  • is it true that we only use 10% of our brain or is this a fallacy?

I've heard there has been no study that suggests we only use 10% of our brain. Is it a fallacy?

  • Why is it ok to persecute atheists but not people of other beliefs.?

When a Christian persecutes someone it's always an atheist. Why is it okay to persecute US when we don't believe in YOUR god? This is what bigotry is by the way.

  • Is this why the Republican party is so popular?

As a person who likes HUMANE policies, I have no idea why someone would vote conservative. But then a thought popped into my head.

"Is the Republican party popular because they are àşśhòlè§ appealing to àşśhòlè§? And the majority of the population are àşśhòlè§."

  • Would you agree with this concept about "gods"?

I'm often on Y!A debating religious bigotry and a new thought popped into my head today.

"Everyone has their gods, even atheists, whether it be an imaginary deity, the sun, the earth, money or power. Humans are the evilness creatures on earth because they put their power into these gods. And the more power you put into them, the more evil you become."

What are your thoughts on this idea?

The way I see it, all humans must be evil, and the evilist human concept is God (There is no such thing has a benevolent, all powerful God, that's just a cruel lie). And as an atheist I would have to agree that atheists have material gods that rule them.

  • Why can't Christians comprehend the Big Bang theory?

Christians always say "Something can't come from nothing" and that argument to them disproves the Big Bang. Well if you agree with that then YOU'RE LISTENING TO YOURSELF TALK TO MUCH!

The Big Bang theory never said that. The Big Bang was the beginning of the universe not existence. There was a dense ball of matter and a chemical reaction occurred causing a massive explosion. This explosion caused the inflation of the universe and stars and planets began to form due to gravity. And the gravity will pull all of the matter back into a ball and repeat itself. Its really not that hard to understand.

So why do Christians keep saying "it can't come from nothing" when no one said it did?

  • Do girls like coconut water?

Do girls like coconut water a lot? My sister and mother loved the stuff and my cat really really likes it. Is it ok to let a cat drink coconut water? I also remember an episode of "parks and recreation" where 2 women went on about coconut water. This makes me think girls really like coconut water and should I keep buying some for my cat and guests?

  • Why can't Christians comprehend the Scientific Method?

Why do Christians use things that have not went through the scientific method as scientific proof for their imaginary friend e.g. 4 thousand year old flood or the classic "why der still monkeys?"

However if something went through the scientific method or at least has credible proof, they don't seem to understand it. An example.

It is PROVEN, through numerous studies, that one's personality is determined by the spaces between brain cells and the neural structure of the brain. This premise binds the soul and the realm of thought to the physical world. Therefore all existence follows Dalton's law, that everything must behave as atoms do.

So when you die either your consciousness fades or your brain evaporates out your ears, turns into a ghost, sprouts a pair of wings and flies into the sun to play with a Sky Daddy.

  • Christians and other theists, Can you prove me wrong by proving the possibility of a benevolent God?

Copy and pasting passages from the bible or saying "because the bible says so" is NOT OKAY! Saying we had to been created by something intellectual proves nothing because wouldn't those rules apply to God himself? I believe that a flying spaghetti monster and a god are highly improbable in existence and I believe that an ALMIGHTY AND GOOD being is impossible. Can any theist, bigoted or level minded come up with an DECENT arguement not pulled out of one's àršę?

Here's my first arguement that dismisses God. It is PROVEN that one's personality is determined by the spaces between brain cells and the neural structure of the brain.

My second arguement denies "God" cares for our free will. If God allowed free will then why does his design require sin? According to the bible, death was not possible until Adam sinned. Adam had the free will not to sin but his design wouldn't allow that because death is needed. Many creatures were obviously created to be carnivorous and animals overpopulate and deplete the earth.

    Third and final arguement.

"If God is all powerful/benevolent why does he not answer our prayers?" "Then he is evil/unable."

  • Christians, do you realize your commandments are proof that God is an invention?

Now don't get mad but I actually want to know if anyone realizes that the ten commandments cannot be the value system of a benevolent God, but rather a set of laws to forced on society by the elite class. The first 5 commandments are basically saying "DO $H!T AS WE SAY!" and the others you have to read between the lines...

Though shalt not murder- the corrupt leaders

Though shalt not steal- the rich man's money

Though shalt not covet- and seek a status more then a slave

If the commandments were really from a benevolent God he would probably address slavery, pedophilia, war, rape and the needless infliction of pain. But note that these things aren't forbidden in God's moral code. God's value system seems to be, WORSHIP ME AND FOLLOW MY RULES that favor the rich and powerful. It's almost as if there is no God.

    What do you think?

  • Christians, if it wasn't for blind faith would you believe in God?

Christians, if it wasn't for blind faith would you believe in God? Every time I debate a Christian I win logically but then they just say "I have faith". But faith does not equal truth. And if you demand atheists to have such a faith all the time what makes you think we would choose Yahweh over Vishnu? They both seem equally logical to us so what exactly do you want?

  • Theists, we both know deep down that atheism is the right answer. So why?

Theists, we both know atheism deep down in our hearts is the answer, so why are you always against it. Are you

    A. Someone who enjoys convicting others

    B. Someone who is very butt hurt about reality

    Reasons why God doesn't exist:

    1. All matter behaves as atoms do and all things are matter, even the realm of the mind.

It is PROVEN that one's personality is determined by the spaces between brain cells and the neural structure of the brain. This premise binds the soul to the physical world.

So when you die either your consciousness fades or your brain evaporates out your ears, turns into a ghost, sprouts a pair of wings and flies into the sun to play with a Sky Daddy.

    2. God's design does not work without sin.

Many animals were obviously created to be carnivorous and death wasn't possible before Adam sinned, so the population of animals would grow exponentially depeleting the earth.

    3. If God is all powerful, why does he let us suffer so?

    Then he is evil.

If God is benevolent, why does he not answer our prayers?

Then he is unable to do so.

Then why do we worship him?

----If you were unable to understand any of that, congratulations, your a moron because I have a brain tumor the size of a plum! Make a DECENT argument at least, instead of logic pulled out your rear.---

  • Did the Buddah abandon selfishness? if so, did he find happiness?

I'm a nihilist, so I don't know much about this, but I still have a strong sense of empathy and morals. Did the Buddah abandon selfishness? Was he happy afterwards?

I think that selfishness is a key element to happiness because the greatest source of happiness is love. When you love someone there is a need for them to need you. You want to possess a part of them and that is selfish.

I don't see how Buddah can be happy without selfishness.
