Loud Gumchewer At Work, Need Help!?
I work in a cubical and the woman who works next to me is an incessant gum chewer. Normally I wouldn't mind, but she chews with her mouth open and snaps the gum and blows bubbles. She is a single woman in her mid fifties and is exceptionally ornery. How do I address this issue with her?
6 AnswersEtiquette1 decade agoLawsuit for infringement of 2nd amendment rights. Need advice?
A little background. I am a Connecticut resident with a CT state pistol permit. I have a vacation home in Oswego County, NY. There is currently no reciprocity for pistol permits; I requested the paperwork to file for a pistol permit in New York as I pay School and Property taxes, but was denied as they will not issue to a non-resident. I requested a dispensation from the respective judge and he denied my request. I believe that I have a case as my 2nd Amendment rights have been denied. What would be my next steps? I have already written all of my CT and NY state and federal representatives. I have received the boilerplate "we appreciate your situation, but we cannot help at this time" response.
Please do not use this question as a way to express your anti gun feelings.
5 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoAre Federal Hydra-shocks being made illegal? ?
I live in Connecticut; I went to Cabela's the other day and they said that they no longer carry them as they were made illegal. I specifically was looking for them for .380. Anyone else heard this? I ended up buying the new TAP rounds from Federal, anyone had any experience with these?
Thanks
12 AnswersHunting1 decade agoSnowmobile Recommendations?
I have property in the tug hill area of NY and just went snowmobiling for the first time this past weekend. I am looking for a good sled for powder and trail riding. I notice that a lot of guys have Yamahas and swear by them, I'm curious to receive some feedback. I want to buy something used, but reliable.
2 AnswersOther - Winter Sports1 decade agoMilitary Armory Question:?
In the current military when you are issued a sidearm or a weapon do you keep the same gun throughout your duty? Furthermore, do you have access to the gun 24 hours a day, or are you issued the gun prior to a patrol, etc? Does the armory also keep track of all ammunition and do you have to account for every bullet? I appreciate your help.
4 AnswersMilitary1 decade agoTongue and Groove Paneling Installation Question?
I have a cabin that I am planning on installing tongue and groove paneling on; I have been told that I technically should be urethaning both sides of the paneling before installing it....does this sound right? The cabin will be subjected to temperatures ranging from -10-90F, so I want to make sure that what I do will withstand the temperature variations. I am off-grid, so this will be a task if it is deemed necessary. I appreciate any help that you can provide.
3 AnswersDecorating & Remodeling1 decade agoI saw a bumper sticker that said "I love my country, but I fear my government" ;they had an Obama '08 as well?
I am confused, generally people who fear the government would not be Democratic as Democrats are for bigger federal government. Furthermore, Obama is in favor of Clinton gun laws which limit the firearms that law obiding citizens can own; people forget the one of the reasons for the 2nd Ammendment is to be able to overthrow a tyranical government. I appreciate any and all views on this.
13 AnswersElections1 decade agoHow do I get nice brown coloration on my steaks??
I've been cooking steaks on my Weber Silver Series and cannot get that nice dark coloration? The steaks are cooked throughout, but the color is more of an unappealing beige color. Any suggestions?

7 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoWhy does my cat always want to touch my face?
He's the greatest cat, when I sit, or lay down on the couch he gets right up on my chest and reaches out to touch my chin or mouth, he stretches out his claws and sometimes digs in a little....it's not too bad. I also notice that his ears turn back a little. He's very calm during the whole thing, I just think it's strange.
8 AnswersCats1 decade agoI'm a gun enthusiast, but see a lot about Airsoft guns....?
Are airsoft guns a replacement for BB guns, i.e. target shooting, or do people use them like a paintball guns, actually shooting at each other? They seem to be quite popular, but do not know anyone who has one. Just curious....

7 AnswersOther - Outdoor Recreation1 decade agoI heard a commercial for "no more mortgage"....?
The people in the commercial note that they paid off their mortgages in 1 year, I'm curious if anyone has had any experience with one of these systems and how they work. I'm a financially responsible person, but simply cannot understand how I'd pay off my mortgage in 1 year no matter what I did. I'm just curious. Thanks!
3 AnswersPersonal Finance1 decade agoQuestion about hunting and preparing cougar, coyote, etc.?
I've had my hunting license for many years, but have never hunted, I've often wondered if people who hunt cougar, puma, coyote or wolf actually eat them, and if so....how does it taste? I've had venison, bear, wild boar and alligator, just curious.....

7 AnswersPsychology1 decade agoHow to publish and essay/article for the most exposure?
I am 30 years old and consider myself a relatively well informed person. I have been putting some ideas together about how our country has changed and how the traditional values of our forefathers are being challenged. My goal is to write an article and get a real reaction from the American people. I don't want to be considered a rabblerouser, just someone who is concerned about the path that our country is on and how we need to seriously revamp our leadership, foreign policy, internal policy, etc.. I appreciate any feedback and would love to hear your recommendations.
2 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoRunning Hydraulics from a GM Power Steering Pump?
I am pondering using a GM power steering pump to power a front end loader, or a log splitter on the front of my 1967 John Deere tractor with a 10HP Tecumseh. Does anyone know the capabilities of this pump and if this sounds feasable?
Thanks
2 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoI'm having a problem with excessive weld splatter from my MIG welder?
I have a Lincoln xp135 and I am having a lot of problems with weld splatter that I have never had. I have tried various power and wire feed settings, and now I'm wondering if it is due to low ArCO2 in my tank? Any thoughts? I am a decent welder, but it is a hobby, so I don't do it enough to be second nature. I appreciate any help.
8 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)1 decade agoWhat is the best way to power an off-grid electrical panel?
I have a cabin that I have wired with a traditional house panel, which is for 60Hz, 240V single phase as used in all US applications. I have a 1500W inverter that I was pondering using, but was concerned that I cannot simply run a feeder from each of the two 110 plugs to each side of the bar as it may be an issue with the phases. Any thoughts? I'm trying to do this on a budget, but am open to any options.
Thanks,
3 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)1 decade agoMy LLC has a job that received downpayment for a job, but no work was completed in 2007, I need tax advice?
We received a very large downpayment which is 50% of the total job in 2007, but planning, zoning and construction delays have kept us from moving forward. The work will most likely be completed in 2008. I am confused about how to show this payment (taxable income, retainer, etc.) This is being held for materials only, so I do not want to have it taxed as it will be difficult for us to fund the project. Any tax advice?
I'm looking at section 460 of IRS code and wanted to know if this is applicable and how I would apply this.

I have a 2002 Dell Computer with an 80GB Maxim hard drive that is hooked up conventionally (with the flat serial cord). Thanks!
