Is it because they are not clever enough to qualify for Nobel Prizes in physics, medicine, chemistry and other disciplines requiring high intellect or creativity? After all, the award for Peace is abstract, very difficult to quantify and demands absolutely no intelligence or creativity at all.

Each day, like lambs to the slaughter, thousands of drivers entrust their ailing vehicles to the mercy of motor-repair establishments in the certain knowledge that their trust will be betrayed at every turn.

Unfortunately, with no one to turn to for protection, motorists have little choice but to yield to their tormentors.

Not content with a fair and reasonable profit for their frequently inferior ministrations, the avowed intent of these worthless parasites is to extract the life's blood from each hapless victim.

That they are actually permitted to act above and beyond the law defies belief. In more civilized countries they would be serving jail-time.

Where does the government stand on this matter? By failing to condemn these home-wrecking spoilers of dreams, one is forced to conclude that politicians approve of their sharp practices.

In my view, a thorough clean-up of the entire auto industry is long overdue.

Entirely undistinguished, this shallow non-achiever struts around the world not merely pretending to be America's current leader but, in a pathetic attempt to appear omnipotent, clumsily trying to emulate the words and wisdom of at least three former presidents and bask in the reflected glory of their achievements.

This man behaves exactly like a black preacher and, like all black preachers, he does'nt have a single original thought in his head.

He should get back to the racially- charged church to which he clearly aligns himself and stay there.

I realise, that after 8 years of Bush's criminal misrule, Americans are desperate for sound leadership but, unless the electorate is masochistic enough to desire a further 8 years of misery, it's present political choices are not the best ones to follow.

Once again, Americans have foolishly rejected the wheat in favor of the chaff.

Blacks comprise a mere 12 per cent of this nation's total population. Yet, such is the media's saturation of black imagery that an alien, whose only knowledge of America was via his television set, would assume that not only were blacks in the majority but that caucasians and asians were very much in the minority. As for native-Americans, whose land this truly is, our hypothetical alien would not even be aware of their existence. Indeed, they have all but been erased from national consciousness and clearly regarded by the media as less than human and, therefore, unworthy of concern and compassion.

The faceless, mischief-making media sycophants responsible for this outrage should first be thrashed, then jailed for deliberately and malevolently distorting the reality of the world in which we live.

Even my high intelligence, my extraordinarily creative writing and my beautiful calligraphy frequently fail to receive the courtesy of a reply from business organizations.

Are companies really just too busy to say a simple THANKYOU or NO THANKYOU?

Years ago, under Ian Smith's premiership, all Southern Rhodesians, both white and black, were fully employed, had full bellies and lived their lives free from fear, intimidation and sickening brutality.

That moronic clown Mugabe and his supporters must be arrested at once, charged with crimes against humanity and summarily executed.

Formula One racing used to be about the most skilled drivers.

Now, it is chiefly concerned with the fastest and most reliable cars.

The result is, that no matter how great the driver, if he drives a car of vastly inferior speed and reliability, he cannot

possibly hope ever to win a race.

So, in order to bring back the former skills and excitement associated with Formula One racing, all cars should be of equal speed and reliability.

Then we would discover who really were the best drivers.

Remember, white society founded every one of this nation's institutions and, indeed, everything else of value.

So why on earth would anyone of sound mind support a representative of an ethnic group which has not only failed to contribute meaningfully to this nation's growth and development but has actually caused so many of it's fundamental problems?

I refer everyone to the regrettable political and social records of presidents in African countries and the endless suffering caused by the corruption and brutality of their vile leadership.

Is this what Americans want for their own nation?

If nothing else, America's blacks have learned that loud-mouthed belligerence will get them anything and everything including, perhaps, even a black president who, at some point in time, they may well regret supporting.

In this deeply troubled world every single positive aspect of our lives is due to the ingenuity and enterprise of Western civilization.Mistakes have been made, of course, but, overwhelmingly, the towering achievements of Western society have been, and continue to be, for the benefit of all Mankind.Whether within the realm of medicine, the arts, science, invention, exploration or, indeed, whatever the discipline, white males are not merely at the vanguard but frequently the sole participants.No other ethnic group can boast a Shakespeare, a Mozart, a Michelangelo or the thousands of other European men of sublime and titanic genius who have shaped and illuminated this less than perfect world.Compare this to the Muslim world which has contributed nothing to the modern era but murder and mayhem.So why would anyone of sound mind wish to exchange the wonder and glory of our infinitely clever and compassionate Western society for the sterility and bestiality of the Islamic world?

It should be obvious to all that institutions reflect the well-being, or otherwise, of the society in which they exist.This holds true even for one as banal as the current world of entertainment.Yet there was a time, many years ago, when this institution was characterized by a high degree of excellence and refinement and, to which, stars like Laurence Olivier, Fred Astaire and Judy Garland bore such glowing testimony. Now, as with every other institution, the cancer of compromise has brought the entertainment industry to it's knees. With the depressing result that, as this nation plunges down the slippery slope to it's inevitable extinction, Hollywood and Tellywood, with their support for mind-numbing mediocrity, precisely mirror the phenomenon. So when, as now, our television and cinema screens are bombarded by a seemingly endless stream of pea-brained, inarticulate, foul-mouthed punks, the viewing public is simply being treated to no more or less than it both desires and deserves.

Having wasted millions of dollars of other people's money on his bid for the presidency, he now lectures the electorate on his plans for strengthening America's ailing economy.

He has nothing if not unmitigated gall.

By killing the charm and grace of the womens' game we are all well aware of their negative influence.

The father of this rather unattractive duo clearly trained his daughters to power their opponents into submission and, thereby, ensure that their influence would remain forever negative.

As for their grotesque ' fashion statements' I think the less said the better.

Despite the fact that the current presidential nominees have yet to prove their competence to govern, millions of Americans line the streets and pack the halls, responding to and, ecstatically cheering on, the empty rhetoric of their pet favorites.

Please, America, reserve your euphoria for that golden moment when, just for once, a modern president fulfils his promise of greatness.

Whilst some may debate this question there can be no doubt , whatsoever, that he was, and remains, the most renowned. Who in this world has not heard of Walt Disney or been exposed to his creative genius?

Although he did not invent animated film, together with his extraordinarly gifted team of artists, he did develope and perfect the medium.

Fiercely Eurocentric, Disney was perceptive enough to recognize that, like almost everything else of value and excellence, the very best stories come from Europe and, therefore, it was to that continent he looked for almost all of his source material. Need I mention Snow White, Pinnochio, Alice in Wonderland, Jungle Book and so many more enchanting stories.

At this juncture, it has to be stated that only the movies under Disney's direct control were masterpieces. It would have been better for us all, and more respectful of Walt Disney, if the studios bearing his name had ceased to operate upon his death.

Irrefutably, she was, and remains, the greatest female entertainer this nation ever produced and no other woman from the realm of popular music, or jazz for that matter, has even come close to her degree of excellence.

There is no greater testament to Judy Garland's giftedness than the film 'A Star is Born ', with every sincerely sung song a winner.

The power and passion of her voice throughout every song, including the mesmerising ' The man that got away ' should encourage every one of today's crop of female 'singers' to seriously consider a career change.

Listening to Judy Garland's marvellous voice makes one wonder just how Amercan popular music reached it's current depressing state of mediocrity.

Except during their embryonic stage of development, this gifted foursome's music has been as far removed from rock and roll as it is possible to be.

For example, listen to the disturbingly enigmatic 'Eleanor Rigby', the beautiful, romantic ballad 'Here, there and everywhere ', the wonderfully amusing 'When I'm sixty-four ' and the poignant, inexpressibly moving ' She's leaving home '. I defy any loving parent not to weep upon hearing the latter. I question whether the world fully appreciates just how talented this Liverpool quartet is with Paul McCartney, in particular, surely among the most important and influential songsmiths of the past HALF-century. However, I hasten to add that he is NOT the equal of American song-writers of the first half of the last century.

With so much of today's popular music fit only for the tone-deaf or mentally challenged, it is refreshing to listen to the musical excellence of the Beatles.

American opera singer Beverly Sills is a national treasure.

Not that I would expect many people in this country even to be aware of her existence. Sadly, America's philistine ear is attuned to an altogether lower order of songstress.

I could talk at length about Miss Sills' formidable vocal technique and ravishing tone but mere words would not even begin to describe the sublime beauty of her voice.

Instead, I would urge all Americans to seek out this gorgeous soprano for themselves.

For some strange reason all people of dual ethnicity are termed BLACK. That is, if they have one white parent and the other who is black.

If only for the sake of adherence to absolute truth and accuracy we MUST find a new word to describe them.

Yes, I know that the Scottish songs ' Auld Lang Syne ' and ' Amazing Grace ' are known here and everywhere as the world's premier anthems but they are the least beautiful of Scotland's rich tapestry of music and song.

To a lesser degree the ' Skye Boat Song ' and ' Loch Lomond ' are also familiar to Americans but who in this country knows anything about the folk-music of France, Wales, Italy, Rumania or any other European country with the exception, perhaps, of Ireland?

Sadly, this mysterious omission from America's cultural landscape deprives it's citizen's of the opportunity to listen to some of the world's most beautiful music and song which, in an ideal world, should now be saturating the air-waves.

Wouldn't it be marvellous if America's young people listened to real music from around the world instead of the trash, and trash alone, that currently bombards their ears?
