  • Legal/Family?

my girlfriend a work asked me to see if i could find out about her situation. She is about 40 yrs. old now. she was raised in a broken home. her mother raised her and her 3 siblings alone for a while then she remarried a man who abused her kids physically and sexually. her father was only ever ordered to pay 60 dollars per month her whole life for all the kids. and apparently her dad went on to be very wealthy and bought himself a beach house and many other treasures for himself, having very little contact with his children and NO concern for his own childrens desperate situation. He remarried several years later to someone else who has a child from her previous marriage my friends father has raised this step child as his own since. his children are concerned dear dad is leaving all his estate to this step child and they again will get shafted one last time in his death. her question is...what can they do to ensure that he compensates them for his mistakes upon his death if not b4. t/y

  • Christians, do you pray in public restaurants with your family before meals?

I admit, I am working on it. I do not have trouble with being ashamed or anything. I just can't seem to remember when we sit down to dinner. Maybe because we have 6 kids and it is kinda hectic with 6 hungry teenagers at dinner time. And they are GOOD kids...lol. But I can say, I cant remember the last time i saw a family or individual do this in public except after church on sundays.

  • Fellow Christians: Do u think children should be allowed to explore other religions?

I have mixed feelings, & maybe hipocritical views. I was raised in both Christian "Church of Christ"(stepfathers) and Christian "Baptist"(mothers). both being Christian faiths, they still have many different beliefs. This was very confusing for me as a child, and these same differences eventually led to divorce 17 yrs later. I am 35 now & baptist by my own choice since 8 yrs old. because I believe, i study and i find that i agree with the teachings of baptists. But, heres the thing, i looked for the right answers in all the different things i was taught. Now how does a child, non-christian have hope to be saved while still young if they are never allowed to look into others beliefs. Now I have 3 kids & 3 step-kids. They are very impressionable & easily swayed as all teens. They r all professed christians, thank god. But before they knew Jesus, I would have been very upset if anybody suggested exposing my kids to other beliefs as if there could be truth in them.

  • Why do fellow Americans...Christian or not...?

Hate Christians so much? Our Christian forefathers certainly built a great nation in which they can also worship Thier Gods or all Gods or absolutely no Gods with freedom. Some other places put you to death for such offences. Better yet, for even lesser crimes. It was no accident, you were born here or brought here It was Gods amazing Grace. God has personally Blessed each of you to live here. Even if you choose not to believe in him, he is still your creator. If you hate Christians soooo much, why wouldn't you strive to go live where your own beliefs are the dominate beliefs. The way immigrants strive to make it here for a better life. Instead of so arrogantly taking advantage of what so many of your despised christian ancestors fought and died for. No disrespect intended, just some thoughts. Usually, people who inherit thier fathers land, have more respect for thier fathers.

  • Why is it some christians only believe things they want and disregard what they dont want to hear?

Like animals have no souls (if any one can find a scripture stating they do, i'd like to see it), or we do not die and become angels with wings,,,and other such things. i was taught that the WHOLE Bible is the truth..Not just what i like. They have other religions for that and if u cant find one that believes what u want, u can start a whole new one...
