I have the opportunity to enlist in my states Medical Marijuana program. I am wondering if anyone out there in the world has actually and honestly been helped or is being helped by the use of Medical Cannabis? I have chronic-pain, insomnia, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and depression. I have tried MOST of the man-made poisons prescribed to me and the side-effects are much worse than the disease or issues mentioned. So many people I know are using it and they swear by it's healing properties and lack of serious side-effects. I am no "beginner". I have used the regular stuff for years but, as I understand it, Medical Quality is different (And costs much more also) I guess what I am asking is, is it worth the price?

My Mom and wife are cleaning out my estranged "Grandmas"', house. This old woman is 94 yrs, old and finally has to be put in a rest home because her house was MAJOR eye-sore in her well-to-do neighborhood. She looked like she lived in a jungle. I am not kidding. Since she lives in California and we 800 miles away, it is difficult to keep in tough especially because she wanted no communication with any of us. My wife found a bunch of chicken bones, money, wrapped-up like a little gift all over the house. Was this old woman involved in Witchcraft?

I have an E-Machines 1Gig PC that is 3 1/2 years old. It is starting to act very weird and slow. I run Microsoft's Anti-virus, Super anti-spyware, CCleaner, IObit defrag. to try to keep it clean and infection free. I am not much for using this PC for social sites, printing, blogging, etc. I mainly use it for downloading (LEGALLY) documentaries, New World Order vids., and making comments on various sites that give you a chance to express your opinion. I got 1 message that informed me my VIDEO software was old and needed updating. I can still see 98% of the video out there but, this particular site tells me to update.All in all, I love my little PC and since I use it alot but for just a few things, how can I CHEAPLY up-date my machine without going broke. I can afford maybe 100.00 bucks. Anymore than that and I might as well get a new one. Any suggestions?

It seems to me that in the past 40 yrs. Men are behaving, reacting and even sounding like Women more and more. Women, on the other hand, are acting more and more masculine. Is there not some kind of Biblical verse that warns of this phenomenon in the "Last days?". I am not a religious person but, I do believe. It simply cannot be coincidence that all of these "Last Days" happenings are almost daily news. The other day I was at a store in our local mall where TWO very pretty and VERY sexy girls were inviting this guy over to their apartment for "A few drinks, some chronic and maybe a little fun?" He looked threatened yet, un-impressed and said "Naw, I don't think so". I was shocked. In my youth, first of all, a guy had to be extraordinary in looks or wealth or had drugs on him for this to happen but, I promise you this! HE WOULD HAVE GONE!

I am 52, WAS a Heroin addict for 35 years, stopped and now have been taking Morphine Sulfate for at least 10 years prescribed to me by my doctor. My sex life is non-existent and my Penis and Testicles have shrunk. I swear this is true and NOT a joke. I am afraid of losing my wife as we have not had sex in more than a decade. When using Heroin, I was normal, I had a full, hard, and lasting erection and very much active. Today, I have no interest, and even if I did, I cannot perform. Can I have a chance of suing someone (pharma. Co.) or am I doomed to being impotent?

I am a fan of documentaries. Whenever I find a Doc. that interests me and is free to download, I do. I am aware that different factors play into the length of time it takes to download a large file but, my question is, why does it take so long so encode and burn video onto a blank disc? If all goes well, it normally takes 2- 2 1/2 hours. Sometimes, it can take as long as four or five! Is there a program out there that can do this faster? I use the stock Windows software that came with my PC.

After 3 years of burning literally hundreds if not a thousand movies onto blank discs, my burner quit. It simply gets stuck at 90.7% and an "error disc cannot be burned" pop-up message informs me. This started gradually but, now it is all the time. I have cleaned out my tower, air-blown the drive, and made sure all is connected right etc. I need a new one. Can I simply just go to Wal-mart, get a new drive (USB) and install? How hard will this be? Do I need anything other than plugging USB cord from PC to drive?

I have been using the DVD Burner that came with my PC at purchase. For 2.5 yrs. now, it has done a wonderful job. It does however, take about 2-2.5 hours to encode and burn a FREE Documentary or movie. What seems to be the most important part of this process is, installing a download client such as Vuze or Utorrent and a program such as K-lite. Is there a faster way or better program out there? Please advise me on this one!

Lately I have asked all of the wonderful and truly helpful people out there in cyberspace some pretty important questions concerning my computer and my last question was about torrents, seeding, and peers. I have gotten very helpful and caring answers. How can I give these techno-angels a great big hug from my hometown of Las Cruces N.M.? I find it so difficult to "Choose the best answer" because all who have helped me deserve 17.822 trillion points!

Can anyone please explain to me "IN LAYMAN'S TERMS" how seeding a torrent not only keeps the torrent alive but, the more seeds, the faster the download. Now, as for the peers or leeches, what does this mean? Again, please in language a total newbie can understand. Sometimes both seeds and peers have 2 sets of numbers. Like in Vuze it may show 12 (560) seeds and 7 (398) peers. Why these two numbers? Also, sometimes the seed to peer ratio seems very doable as far as thinking your download will be quick, instead, it is kinda slow. And sometimes, the seed/peer ratio is very close yet the download is fairly quick. Why? I understand the request to "Keep seeding" but, why is this so important? One more thing (I promise), why is the most asked for seed to download ratio is 1 to 1 ? Take the whole torrent, give the whole torrent back. Is this the idea? I know I am ridiculously ignorant but, I really would like to know these answers! Thank you very much!

I was given a DVD of a good friend's wedding. Since this friend is liked by many of my friends, I wanted to copy a few discs and share them with other friends of mine and of the bride. How do I do this? Do I somehow transfer video to hard-drive then burn? If so, how? I know these are very dumb questions but, I am old and not very tech savvy. The disc is a Memorex 120 min. 1-16x 4.7 GB +R. I am serious! I really am that un-experienced. Please help. This would mean alot to me and a few other old farts.

My Mom has a e-machines PC that is about 7 yrs. old, runs Windows XP, has very memory and little RAM. Even though she RARELY uses her machine, still she needs it for banking and stuff. She has about 87% of space she could use so, it is not cluttered with junk. I have CCleaner, Defraggler, and Spybot for her that I use regularly to keep it as clean as possible. Suddenly, it started to freeze. At times it will load(very slowly) but most of the time it won't even load the home page! I thought it might have been her anti-virus so, I un-installed. Now it is unprotected! Also, she still uses AOL dial-up. What a nightmare. Any serious suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

We recently have a beautiful snowfall in our area. I took many pictures and imported them to PC then, burned on dvd. I wish I could get some of these pix back to e-mail to friends. Is this possible? If so, how? I still have dvd containing pix. How do I get some pix back to hard drive? Please help!

(Hypothetically speaking) How do I keep seeding a torrent? After I finish downloading, and I usually do this a night,(hypothetically), I put my baby to sleep. I do not turn it off. I thought since updates on other programs such as anti-virus, various apps. are installed at 1:00 in the morning, I assumed that seeding kept on going as long as I do not delete torrent from PC. But, when I get up, I notice that my "share ratio" is not much different from when I went to bed. What am I doing wrong? (hypothetically).

I was given the opportunity to download a (legal) movie but, it's source is a Blue-Ray DVD. I have a regular two year old PC with regular blank discs (DVD+R) and I am wondering, since I know nothing about these high-tech things, will I be able to burn movie on said disc?

A few days ago, I asked for help concerning a gay neighbor of mine that is young enough to be my son. I am 51 and he is 19. This was a serious question and because people change as time goes on, today's gay community is different than it was back in the late 70's-early 80's. I got many caring, intelligent answers but, I also was accused of making up this story. I mentioned in my question that this young man threatened suicide as a way for me to submit to his "love for me". Well for those who did not believe me or care enough to give me the benefit of the doubt, this young man is in the hospital and barely survived the multiple kinds of pills he swallowed. I write this because I did not know what to do and I asked for your help as I am neither gay or very "updated" about TODAY'S gay community. IT WAS VERY DIFFERENT 30, 35 yrs. ago. I mentioned that I have gay friends and even they did not know what to say as they are my age. Thank you to those who cared, and for those who ridiculed me, I'm sorry you have such a calloused view of life. Try to shut your mouth and open your heart!

I come to you, the youth of the world, to help me with this most desperate situation. I am a 51 yr. old man. I am considered good looking by some although I do not think I am all that. I have a neighbor that is 18 yrs. old. He is very handsome, girls are CONSTANTLY after him but, he is not interested in females. He says he is love with me! I am Heterosexual, have been with the same woman for 18 yrs. and have not been with a man in all of my life! I am Gay-friendly and have many gay friends. I have helped this kid many times in many different ways and his parents ( that are younger than I am by the way), are very fond of me as their son "lights up" when I enter the room. He has gone as far as threatened suicide if I don't respond to his love. My woman says this will pass or he will change when he meets the right guy but, I am a little concerned about this whole thing. What do I do?

In case you have not noticed, there is a tidal-wave of "End of the World" movies, books, commentaries, documentaries etc. that have inundated our lives as of late. Can anyone please tell me your opinion of the reason for this? Is it because of the date 2012? Also, IF it seems humanity is doomed in the near future, what will you be doing or want to do if the planet Earth has 72 hours left? Don't be shy!

I have a 12 MP digital Camera made by Samsung. The other day, I was charging it for a short trip I was gonna take. I had not used it in a while and forgot the "particulars" concerning use of my baby. I left the memory card in while charging and I think I might of burned it out or something. Please advise me on this issue.

Please Help! My PC is running very weird. I have used it quite a bit for 2 yrs. and now, after CCleaner, AVG, de-frag, etc., My baby is sick. Should I re-install Vista O.S. that came in disc form with Computer like most. Should I decide to re-install, will I have problems during in-stall and what are these problems? How long does it take?
