  • Scooter starting problems?

Ok so my cousin had a Shanghai Shenke 250 cc scooter that wasn't running and I bought it and have got it pretty much all fixed up. There is only one more thing that I need to work out. After sitting for about a day or so it wont start up without starting fluid, but once it has been running for about 3 minutes or so it will start up ok without any. After it has gotten warmed up it starts up very easily.

I have cleaned the carb (it wasn't really dirty) and I think that the electronic choke is working ( I took it off the carb and hooked it to power and ground and it got warm and the needle extended a little) and the spark plug is new and it has a fresh tank of gas. so I am just looking for some insight and ideas as to where to go next.

  • Gold or sterling silver for a mothers ring?

Ok so my siblings and I are going to get our mom a mothers ring for Christmas, I'm personally kinda torn between gold and sterling silver tho.

On one hand, with silver being almost a fourth of the price we could get her something else as well but it tarnishes and needs more maintenance I guess (dont know lots about silver jewelry)

And on the other hand, gold is more expensive but definitely higher quality and doesn't really tarnish and whatnot.

So my questions are: what is your personal opinion on the matter? Can you share any experience or facts dealing with silver jewelry? What would you rather have without taking the price into consideration?

  • I can't find a part for a Ford Ranger?

Alright, so I am looking for a cold air intake kit for a Ford Ranger with a 2.3L engine. If anyone can provide a link to a site that sells them that would be awesome! Or maybe a kit that is made for something else but would still work, like a Mazda B2300 maybe?

I have done a little searching already by myself and haven't been able to find a whole kit for a 2.3L

    Thanks!

  • 10 points to whoever can shed some insight on this windshield question?

There are different types of windshields and I am wondering what is the difference between AS-1, AS-10, and AS-14 windshields.

I have tried to look up some info online but can't find hardly anything... I know AS-1 is your basic everyday windshield, and I think AS-10 is bullet proof glass? If that's so I have no idea what AS-14 would be lol.

Anyway, any kind of info and/or sources on this would be most interesting and appreciated, thanks!

  • 03 dodge dakota begins to overheat when going uphill?

This truck belongs to my cousin, he took it to a mechanic that said it might need a new governor pressure solenoid, t-stat, and fan clutch. My question is regarding the solenoid, from what I understand this solenoid only helps control shift points... I can see how it might inadvertently cause the engine to overheat due to late shift points/ higher rpm's but it shifts normally...

Any insight is welcomed and appreciated. Thanks.
