  • Small animal hammocks and beds...?

Hello! I had a few questions...

I want to start a little business for small animal beds. Hammocks, sleep sacks, cuddle cups, ect.

It would be for small animals like ferrets, rats, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, and others.

This business does not need to make a ton of money, just a little bit to pay for materials, time spend making, and a little left over.

How much would you spend for a well made hammock? Machine washable. Hooks included. Big in size.

Where should I post my beds at? Etsy, own website, Facebook, or other?

    Any tips for getting started?

Thank you so much in advance for any help! <3

  • Gaming Computer Questions...?

Hello, I am looking to buy a gaming computer but unfortunately I don't know what I should be looking for when buying.

I know building a computer is technically the best way to get the best computer but I am honestly not looking for the best.

I'm just looking for a computer I can play World of Warcraft, Skyrim, and other games like that on decent settings with good frame rate.

I am not using it for intense gaming but I want something reliable.

I have family members that have the $700 Alienware desktop and they say it is good for things like that.

What is your suggestions? Thank you!

  • Looking for some guidance...?

Hello. So I am really trying to figure out what I want to do with my life. I am 18 years old. I just graduated high school this year. I am currently working at McDonald s and living with my parents until I make a decision.

Throughout high school I never had any idea what I wanted as my dream job or career. I still have no idea. I mean, I applied for colleges and looked at top paying jobs but I have no motivation to do any of that.

I want to find something I love to do that I can make a profit doing. I can t even think about going to college and spending that money when I don t even have a goal in mind.

I am looking for a bit of guidance. I am not looking to be rich, I am looking to find something I love doing while being able to support myself living on my own.

What is the best way to find your passion ? And how would I go about making it a career?

For me, money doesn t appeal to me but I know it is necessary. I just want to find a job I wont hate myself for doing.

My interests are YouTube and computers in general and my ferrets. I have considered becoming a vet tech but it is not something I am interested in.

Please no hate comments. I am really just trying to improve my life. Thank you.

    - Travel cage

    - Ferretone or other treat

    - First aid kit

    - Emergency Vet # for wherever I am going

    - Food and water dishes

    - Their Kibble

    - Frozen water bottles if it gets too hot I can put them near them

  • McDonalds Head Manager chewing in the workplace...?

Hello. I am not quite sure where to post this.

I have been working at McDonalds for some time while in high school. When I came in for my interview the manager was an hour and a half late even though he was on the clock. He came in with his lip full of chewing tobacco. The whole interview he had it there. I was disgusted.

It didn't end there though... he chews tobacco on the job while he is cooking food for customers! Has a spit cup right under the table. He is the head manager. One under the store owner. I informed who I could but no one cares. The store owner knows and doesn't do a thing! They honestly do not care.

I feel like this should be a concern. I am in Michigan if that applies to any laws.

Should I do anything? Let it keep going? I don't think there is much I can do. It is just nasty to think about the contamination that could occur.

    Thanks so much :)

  • Sims 3 or Sims 4?

Hey guys! I miss playing Sims. I have The Sims 2 and a few expansions. But it seems really outdated now. I want to buy a new Sims game but not sure which one to get.

I want to get the Sims 3 because it has all the expansion packs out already including pets which I like.

However, would I have more fun with The Sims 4?

    What are the main differences?

    Thanks so much!

  • Ferret Harness...?

    Hey guys!

I have two amazing ferrets! They love to go outside for walks around town in the local pet shops, hiking and camping in the woods, and just being outside in general.

However, their harness that used to fit them is way to large now. I had the Walk-N-Vest for both of my girls. Now that they lost their winter fatness they are petite and slip right out of it!

Can anyone suggest me a good harness that will fit my petite ferrets? Something not too pricey but reliable?

    Thanks so much! <3

  • Ferrets - Going on a 10 day Vacation...?

Hey guys! So in a few months I will be going on a trip, leaving the state and going with my boyfriend's family to the ocean.

This will be a 10 day vacation and I am going to be worried sick about my ferrets. I cannot take them with me.

They are healthy and happy but I really don't know who to trust with caring for them.

I have my parents but they often forget to scoop the litter which (like many cats) once the litter is full they will go next to it.

I want them to get all the time out of the cage I give them when I am home. I have a cousin who owns a ferret but she works a lot.

I don't want them to get depressed.

Any suggestions? They are very sweet girls and I will miss them so much!

    Thank you!!

  • Those with small pet knowledge please answer!?

Hi there! I currently own two ferrets and got a sewing machine recently. I have been learning how to sew hammocks, sleep sacks, and other beds for them.

I am starting a small business and really inspired. I don't want them to only be for ferret though. I know other small animals like cozy things.

I know some rats use hammocks.

My main question here is, what other small animals like beds and/or hammocks?

I have little knowledge of hedgehogs, chinchillas, bunnies and other small animals but I would love to make things that can be used for them.

    Thanks so much! :)

  • Teamspeak vs Ventrilo Vs Mumble?

Hey! I was wondering what ingame communication would be best for me and my guild.

My whole family plays World of Warcraft.

We need something to communicate while raiding. It needs to have push to talk and not take up a lot of bandwidth like Skype.

We used to use Ventrilo but I am not sure if a Windows 8 version is available.

What do you suggest for around 13 players? With reasonable cost?

    Thanks so much! ^~^

  • Optimizing Computer for World of Warcraft?

Hello! I really need some advice here about my computer.

I have an Acer laptop. When I first got it about a year ago it used to run World of Warcraft on pretty decent graphics without any lag.

Over time I got games, pictures, ect onto my computer. Now on the lowest of graphics I cannot do a raid without horrendous lag. I cannot play with the amount of lag I get and it is not fun. Nothing in the games have changed in the past year graphic wise so it has to be the laptop. Once I can I want to buy or build a gaming computer but for now this is what I have to work with.

What are some things I can do to optimize my computer and improve my experience?

Should I remove other games? Defrag?

    Thank you so much!

  • Cannot get Midnight Blue Manic Panic Out of hair! Help!?

Hello. I am having a huge issue and wish I didnt wait till the day before school to fix. A few months ago I dyed my hair with Manic Panic hair dye. It turned out a really pretty blue. A few months later it started fading and I needed a color change. I dyed brown over it and it turned out weird. There were strips where the blue was and wasn't.

I want to fix it. I want a dark red color. I have the dye and everything for it and I went to bleach it. I bleached it for 30 minutes and it went back to blue.

Now it is an ugly blue with blonde strands and I don't know where to go from here. Should I try dying over it with he red? How would it look? Do I risk bleaching it again?

Any ideas would be amazing. Thank you so much! <3

  • Building vs Buying Gaming Computers?

Hello! I currently have a laptop that I game with but I have wanted a gaming desktop for a while now. Mainly I will use it for raiding in World of Warcraft and other games like Skyrim.

My parents just bought two $700 dollar Alienware gaming computers that they will only use for WoW. I was going to do the same but I know that if you build a computer it can be more rewarding.

Can anyone please give me a list of pros and cons to building vs buying gaming computers?

Also if you can provide video links to good tutorials on how to build it that would be great,

    Thank you!

  • Rabbits, Hamsters and Mice diet question...?

Hello! I have never owned any of these animals but I do currently own a ferret. I know that ferret's are healthier on a raw meat diet.

This got me thinking about vegetarian animals. Are raw vegetables better than kibble made for the animal? Thank you! :)

  • I want to start pet sitting....?

Hi there! I was wondering if anyone could give me any tips on starting a pet sitting business. I have experience with animals like dogs, cats, ferrets, hamsters, rabbits and some reptiles. I heard some places you need a license to pet sit. I looked it up and in Michigan it is not required. I volunteer at our local animal shelter and studing all there is to know about pets.

I am 17 and have my own car if I had to drive anywhere. I have an emergency vet who can see many types of animals.

Any help on what I might need or how I would start would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

  • Feeding ferrets live mice...?

How many people feed their ferrets live mice? I know some people think it is cruel and choose to get frozen, already dead mice for their carpet sharks... but do any people just feed them live? My parents used to breed mice and give them to their hobs. I saw some live feeding videos and I was thinking about picking up some feeder mice. Any tips or suggestions would be great! ^~^

  • Help! Skyrim and Terraria Graphics issue!?

Hello, I currently have an Acer Laptop which is connected to my Flatscreen via VGA + Audio to HDMI Converter box.

I have not had a problem with any of my games playing like this except Skyrim and Terraria.

What happens is while I am playing it the graphics light up different colors... Basically rainbow colors at different points in the game. I don't know if there is a graphic setting I need to change or what. It is very distracting when I am trying to play one of those games and my entire screen goes from green to blue to yellow.

If anyone has any clue to how I could fix this it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

    Adopted a biting ferret...?

Hello! Just a week ago I got a female ferret, Zoey, from a girl in my town who couldn't care for her anymore.

The girl said she took her in after Zoey had been living in very poor condition. Zoey had been living in someone's backyard and had little human contact for three years(her whole life). When I went to see Zoey as soon as I picked her up she bit me. At the moment I have two ferrets currently and counting Zoey I have had six ferrets in my lifetime. Zoey is my first biting ferret.

I can tell this biting she does is not aggressive. It is a sort of "put me down!" or "play with me!". My other ferrets play bite but they never put any pressure in their bites. Zoey bites HARD.

Having little human contact for the first years of her life must have been part of this. It isn't often she bites but it is hard when she does.

Currently, when she bites down I scruff her, have her facing me directly and I firmly say "NO!" After this she RARELY does it again.

Zoey has gotten much better in this past week and does not bite as much. Does anyone have any suggestions to help fix Zoey's biting? She is a really sweet girl and loves to play and is starting to open up to me. I would love to get her to a point where I won't have to worry about biting.

    Thanks so much! :)
