I'm reading a biography about R.E.M. and loving it! BUT it make me hungry for more music by them. :-( (Yeah, I know they've been gone for nearly 3 years.) What are some bands that are very similar to R.E.M. that music fans/R.E.M. fans would recommend?

Is this pop culture assertion true about love and relationships? If it is true - is it healthy?

I met a woman online and we really hit if off. She was really into me like no woman before - really. And we really clicked. However, when I told her about my WHOLE personal situation and the fact that I have OCD and take several medications - she couldn't handle it. SO I had to break it off. Pop culture says "Only love can break a heart; Only love can mend it again" "Help me Rhonda, Get her outta my heart" etc. SO the thing is this. Is there any truth to to those ideas and if they do happen to be true - is that healthy psychologically, biologically, spiritually speaking to go right from one heartache into another relationship purely to rid youself of the heartache? Please give me your ideas.

I'm a huge fan of all of WP's work. I love their harmony and think that most of their (original) songs are very well written. I also have to say that, even today, they are smokin' hot! Anyway, I'm trying to find a band - probably a "girl band" - that shares those characteristics. Any suggestions? BTW it'd be very very nice if the group had an MP3 album on Amazon...Thanks!

I was skeptical at first that Canabis could refined and made into a medical aide until a good friend of mine studied for a year or so at a "college" in California. He asserted that he had refined some Canabis until it did not make him high and ijust gave him the benefits. I didn't believe him totally until I saw on a mainstream news outlet about a child taking medicinal marijuana that didn't get him high. SO now I think that there CAN be legitimate use of Canibus BUT when I see people just toking up with pot on TV, etc to get high now in Colorado and Washtington state, that makes me doubt what I've learned and think that the people who just want to get mellow are being destructive to the mainstreaming of legitimate medical uses of Marijuana.

I have a code to get 5 dollars off of any mp3 album on Amazon. So I am searching carefully to find an mp3 album to buy. I am open to new artists/bands/singers/types of music as long as they have mp3 albums on 'zon and I can preview their songs.

Ok. I've heard tons about this car on the news and it's supposed to be the greatest fuel efficient car since sliced bread. However, how is it in reality different than a regular hybrid car? I have a Honda Civic Hyrbid (and love it BTW) and trust that it can drive across the US and be fine because it has the battery and gas engine. I thought that the Volt was almost purely battery powered but when reading Wikipedia it doesn't sound like that. If anyone can help on this - It'd be great!
