  • Shower leak! Shower curtain doesn't stop flow of water. Help! (see details)?

When I take a shower, the shower water falls onto the tub surface and runs along the tub and down on the floor. The floor is SOAKING wet afterwards, even if I put down a bath towel on the floor. There is no curtain that seals this tightly. I read a very similar question here on Yahoo Answers and the guy who gave the best answer suggested a plastic water diverter of sorts that he got at Lowes and it mounts onto the tub. But I need to know the name of it! The person who asked this question and the person who answered it are not accepting email.

Anyone know or have any experience with this?!

  • My sister-in-law has inoperable cervical cancer. Do you know of any holistic or good alternative treatments?

She just found out. It's a tumor the size of a lemon which they thought they could operate on but from what I've heard today, it's inoperable. Any suggestions?

  • My 3-year-old daughter has a major attitude stubbornness problem. She's also hard of hearing, what to do?

She has two high-powered hearing aids and goes to a school for hearing-impaired children. She's very smart and is doing extraordinarily well. But lately her stubbornness and temper tantrums are out of hand. Just this morning, she got kicked off the school bus for refusing to sit in her seat.

If she can't do (whatever it is) herself or if she doesn't like what you have to say, she will undo what you did (for example, buttoning her shirt). I can't even dress her for bed because she won't let me put her pajamas on. I have to wait until she falls asleep to put them on. I know part of it might be her frustration in not communicating that well yet but I think it's more than that. Even when she was a VERY tiny baby, we saw these characteristics. If you took her bottle away before she decided she was finished, she'd get so mad that she would cry for about a half hour. Any ideas? I'm at wit's end.

  • Is the marriage of the two men who married in Iowa, Sean Fritz & Tim McQuillan, still valid?

I am hoping so, but I wasn't sure if it was ruled invalid later or not. I couldn't find any more news about it.

  • Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad claims there are no gay people in Iran.?

    1. Do you REALLY believe him?

    2. And please state your religion (if any)

  • Are you gearing up for the War on Christmas?

I guess I'm wondering.. WHY do Christians get so upset when someone says "Happy Holidays"? You never used to get upset with that phrase! And there's nothing wrong with the phrase, there are MANY holidays in December and most times, you don't know who practices what holiday so saying, "Happy Holidays" covers them all. For example, where I work, our clients are of all DIFFERENT religions and saying Happy Holidays is simply the polite thing to do.

Besides, pagans should really be taking back Christmas, technically, since Christians stole Yule from them.

  • I have a red, flat, painless, non-itchy rash or my underarms frequently. Anyone know what this is?

It's random, it comes and goes. I have the rash today on both armpits but yesterday, I didn't have it. Sometimes it's only on one arm, sometimes it's on both. It's flat (not bumpy) but usually circular in shape and doesn't hurt or itch but it makes wearing a tank top quite unsightly. Any ideas?

  • Do you think some questions are removed because people are scared of questioning religion?

My question from yesterday had zero offensive content and I even said something to the extent of that I was not trying to be snide with anyone, I truly wanted to know the answers. And there was a fantastic discussion on there that I was sad to see end.

I actually kind of laughed when I found that someone wanted it removed because I couldn't find a single violation of any guidlines and could only conclude that someone was threatened by my questioning of the Christian religion.

Do you think people sometimes think, "Oh no, this person might be onto something... I'm going to report the question." Or is it more of a move of retaliation?

  • U.S. Christians : WHY concentrate on things like banning gay marriage, stem cell research & euthanasia when...

... these issues do not AFFECT you?

Shouldn't you concentrate on doing good things like feeding the poor, helping the homeless, finding cures for diseases, protecting our environment for our future generations, promoting tolerance and love...? You spend all your time arguing about things that aren't hurting anyone. I'll explain:

A gay couple gets married... how does that affect you at all? And besides, even if they don't get married, do you think that will cause them to turn straight? No, they'll still be gay.

How does fetal stem cell research affect you? We have thousands of embryos that are destroyed daily at fertilization clinics - why not use these for good instead of the garbage dump?

Euthanasia... is completely up to the person. It's their choice. If you don't want to die and would rather suffer through a terminal illness, go right ahead. No one's forcing euthanasia. Why worry about it?

  • Agnostics & Atheists: If dinner guests at YOUR house ask you to say grace, what do you say?

Just curious because I'm married with two kids and when we have my parents over at our house, my parents insist on having a family prayer. We'll be into our second or third bite of food and my parents will sit there and refuse to eat until we pray. I am not a Christian anymore and my parents know that (and they know we don't want to teach the kids Christianity) but they still ask all of us to pray with them before they eat. My husband and I do not pray with my parents but we'll stand there and listen to the grace and we let the kids pray along with them if they want (that bugs me but I can't stop my kids from doing what they want). I always feel insulted that we should be expected to say grace. I don't mind if they say a prayer on their own but to ask us all of us to do it before we eat? Isn't that rude since it's my own house and I'm not religious?

  • If we found life on other planets, would Christians expect them to follow the bible too?

The bible is only found on earth. Would Christians expect people from other planets to be Christians too? Would Christians say they were going to hell for not following the bible?

  • Let’s do something positive: List 3 people of a religion different from yours (atheists too) that you admire

And tell why. State what religion you are, too. No bashing, please! I’ll list mine too. I’m agnostic & I admire:

    1. The Dali Lama: He is just the most joyful, funny, happy person and tolerant of all people: “People take different roads seeking fulfillment and happiness. Just because they’re not on your road doesn’t mean they’ve gotten lost.” -Dali Lama

    2. John Lennon: His ideas have kind of inspired why I wanted to post this; I really feel people need to get beyond their religious & ideological boundaries and just reach out to others. No one really knows what religion he professed to be but he did believe in some concept of god. He was very interested in Eastern religions.

    3. Tammy Faye Baker: I have always admired her, from when I was still a Christian and now, as an agnostic, I still admire just as much, if not more. She is the epitome of what the Christian religion SHOULD be, non-judgemental (accepting of the GLBT community), loving, positive. I’m sorry she's so ill!

  • Why be offended when Christianity is challenged? If you're 100% confident, wouldn't you welcome a debate?

I mean, if you have nothing to hide at all, what's wrong with people of all sorts: atheists, muslims, agnostics, wiccans, etc. posing questions about Christianity? Why do you get so offended and tell non-Christians to go away and find their own section of Yahoo answers? I would think a healthy debate would be welcomed if you're secure in your own religion.

  • If I'm attracted to Shane & Moira/Max from the show, The L Word; Does that mean I like butch lesbians?

Or is this considered an androgyny attraction? I find feminine women attractive too (I'm bi, in case you're wondering) but I'm soooo crazy over those two on the show!

  • Christians: Why do you have a hard time believing that non-religious individuals can be moral (see details)?

Moral without following the bible, that is. For example, I've had several Christians say, "Well, if you don't have the bible, how do are you supposed to know what's right and wrong?"

It's really not that hard. It can be summed up in one sentence (which, coincidentally, is the main tenet followed by wiccans. I'm not wiccan but I've always followed this): "An it harm none, do what ye will."

So, if you simply keep in mind that you should not harm others with the intention of delivering ill will physically, mentally, etc. (except in cases of self defense, of course) that is really the only rule you need for life.

I just find it strange that people don't think that atheists, agnostics and other non-religious people are upstanding human beings simply because they don't follow a religion. It's really disturbing to me.

  • Is there a way to improve texting on a Motorola SLVR L7? It sucks!?

It's very, very hard to text on my new SLVR, it's hard to explain but you know how you text on some phones and it's smart enough to figure out what word you're trying to type in?

For example, on other phones, if you tap in "2-2-8", it can detect that you're trying to spell, "CAT" Well, on the SLVR, I've never been able to do it. Is there a setting to make texting easier or is it a lost cause?

  • I have excess mucus in my throat and I'm always coughing or clearing my throat. What IS this?

My mom, my aunt and now I have this. They've had it for many years and I just now started having this problem over the last year or so. None of us are smokers.

I guess I'm wondering what this is, allergies, a syndrome, etc? And how do you remedy it? I prefer natural cures but am open to other ideas. My mom and aunt just live with it but it can be quite annoying, having to clear my throat/cough all the time in public.

  • Is it normal for a 4-year-old to play 20 Questions (the electronic game)?

You'd have to know how the game works.. it's an electronic game with words going across the screen very fast (no talking) and he is better at it than I am. He reads it at the fastest speed possible ( I do not help him, he does it on his own) and.. he just blows me away with how good he is at it.

Now, granted, my son is mildly autistic and I know it sounds like I'm bragging but I just wanted to know, is this beyond normal or is this more common than I think? Is this common with autistic children, then? I just find it weird that he's so young and can do that. He can read at breakneck speed and we did not teach him how to read, he just did it on his own.

  • My 3-year-old daughter has always had very brittle toenails and even the skin on her feet seems fragile.?

What is this from? Is it a calcium deficiency, possibly or is this a weird syndrome of some sort? She is always cracking a toenail and I have to cut them VERY short otherwise she will rip a toenail just doing every-day activities. Her toenails seem very brittle. She always has injuries to her feet too, but that could just be from her being active. My son NEVER had this problem, though. Any ideas?
