I'm seriously considering joining the Air Force as an officer. I have my Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science concentrating in Software Engineering. I know I can't bring my dog through officer training (the first 12 weeks), but will there be a point that I can bring her? I can find a sitter for a few months.

People defend Hippies as bringing about change to America. What change, exactly, did they bring? They smell like B.O., dress like bums, smoke anything that will "explore an alternative consciousness", look like idiots, and as far as I can see, DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING BUT GET HIGH. I beg you, tell me something positive (and real) that they did.

OK, we've been dating a little over a year, she's 23, and the sex has stopped. I take her out, I pay for everything, I'm still crazy flirty, and I get the old, "Stop, what are you doing"? We hadn't seen each other in two weeks and got a hotel room for a wedding. When we were finally alone, she was falling asleep. I brought it up and she said "OK, I feel bad". I got upset and rolled over to sleep. I wanted her to feel excited about it like I was. Not to "feel bad". Am I doing something wrong? I'm totally in love with her but she gets mad when I tell her I don't feel the love coming back to me.......confused........please don't just say "dump her". I don't want to.....

I'm graduating next May with Computer Science. What do you think people should go for? I see too many Psychology majors.

I'm about to graduate with a degree in computer science, and I don't believe it will ever be possible. When you break it down, most programs are simply if/else statements; logic written by the programmer. In order to become "self-aware" like in "The Terminator", wouldn't it have to continuously and knowingly re-write itself? I guess if it was being run by some sort of biological CPU, it could evolve, but I don't see that happening. Anyway, what do you think?
