  • Should I dry wet carpet myself or hire a service?

    The toilet sprung a leak and ran over last night. Discovered the mess this morning and I've cleaned up all the water which was extensive to the point where it pooled around my feet when i stepped on it. It's quite hot (100+) and we have good ventilation and very low humidity (20%ish) However the wet vac hasn't gotten the carpet drier than "damp" and the padding/sub-floor are also damp.

    Should I hire a professional service right away, wait and see after a day or two, or will it dry on its own?

  • How to thicken curry sauce?

    Anyone know how to thicken Japanese, yellow curry sauce without adding flour or reduction? Or how to make a thick sauce to start with? As is, it just seeps through the rice.
