Just wondered if anyone knows what Burris was doing in the endzone after he scored his touchdown?
I think he looked like an idiot!!
4 AnswersFootball (Canadian)1 decade agoHockey question (comment) from Rod Pedersen's Blog!!?
I've never understood why the World Juniors draws 1-million-plus viewers on TSN -- some of their highest audiences of the year -- yet those same viewers won't drive across town to watch their local junior teams play.
Go figure.
4 AnswersHockey1 decade agoWhy is there so much interest in Sean Avery!!?
He really isn't a good hockey player!!!! He obviously isn't good with women since he can't form a lasting relationship with anyone!!! The best thing he has done is get suspended so he didn't have to meet Phaneuf face to face!! Why all the interest!!!!
10 AnswersHockey1 decade agoDoes anyone have any good Gordie Howe stories on his 80th birthday?
Eighty years old today and it has been only 28 years since he retired from the NHL. It is only my opinion that he was the greatest hockey player of all time and that really isn't open for discussion since probably 90% of the people on this site never saw him play BUT for the few of us who did let's share some stories for the youngsters.

6 AnswersHockey1 decade agoHave the Roughriders made a good move by not renewing Barret's contract.?
Personal opinion!! BAD MOVE. There is no one out there to take his place. Dave Ritchie is too old. The CFL has passed him by. Kent Austin is not a team player. He does not work well with others or accept the opinions of others. The Roughriders being a team that has to answer to a board of directors has reacted to the panic button and have elected to start over again. Look to another period of long term rebuilding. It is a good thing that there is nothing else in Saskatchewan so the fans will keep supporting them. Does anyone no why??
10 AnswersFootball (Canadian)1 decade agoarby973 - you didn't do your research well enough!!!?
With the outmost respect for Normie Kwong, he was not the only Canadian player to win a Grey Cup and Stanley Cup having been a player for only the Grey Cup and an owner for the Stanley Cup.
The honor belongs to Canada's top male athelete (As voted by the sportswriters of Canada) of the the first half of the 20th century, Lionel "Big train" Conacher. He was paired with Sid Abel as a defenceman in 1934 when Chicago won the Stanley Cup. In 1935 he was the player/coach of the Montreal Maroons when they won the Stanley Cup. He scored fifteen points in the Argonaut's 23-0 Grey Cup victory over the Edmonton Eskimos in 1921.
In addition to football & hockey, Lionel also excelled at baseball, lacrosse, boxing, and wrestling.
I felt your lack of proper research for your question did a diservice to one of canada's greatest atheletes. Had you not blocked your email address I would have emailed you personally instead of putting up a general question.
2 AnswersHockey1 decade agoAre the Stampeders that scared of the Saskatchewan Roughriders?
Calgary has informed the Roughriders that they will not let the Rider's mascot, "Gainer the Gopher" into their stadium for the Western Conference Semi Final because they (Calgary) feel they will lose home field advantage if Gainer is at the game. Calgary feels they earned home field advantage and want to insure that they keep it!! Are we a little scared that your football team isn't that good Calgary.
11 AnswersFootball (Canadian)1 decade agoDoes anyone who lived in Winnipeg remember a beach or park called Hobbans?
My mother lived in Winnipeg while my father was overseas during WWII. She often spoke of going with her sister's family to a place called, I believe Hobbans. (Might not be exact spelling or pronunciation) I am interested in any information someone might have on this place. Last time I was in Winnipeg I tried to find it but with no luck. I suspect it no longer exists so I am hoping someone recalls it or has a parent or grandparent who does.
2 AnswersWinnipeg1 decade agoWhere does "Old Navy" get all of the old trucks that are in their clothing stores?
Every Old Navy store I go into, no matter which city it is situated in, has an old truck in the middle of the store. They all look the same, as in old Chevrolet trucks from the early 50's.
4 AnswersFashion & Accessories1 decade agoI need to prune my Hughes Juniper. I need some advice?
I planted a Hughes Junniper under my Canada Red Cherry tree. The nursery where I bought it told me it would grow to be approx. 5 ft by 7 ft. It is presently 14 ft by 21 ft. I want to prune it back about 2 ft all the way around. As you can imagine it is beginning to encroach on some of my other plants. I don't want to kill it. Before I start, does anyone have any advice for the best method of accomplishing this pruning successfully.
