  • pothos in a dark hallways... help with adding lights?

I am planning to grow two 10 foot tall tower with Pothos which will be four types of Pothos: Gold Pothos, Silver Pothos, Marble Pothos and Jade Pothos. They will be trained to grow on a pole covered with both Moss and mesh screens around the pole (which will be assembled before planting)

The locations are in the hallways on 1st floor and 3rd floor in a Victorian home. There is no sunlight. Currently we have all light fixtures with CFL 15w "daylight" (equals 60watts and at 800 lumen each.) There are 9 15w bulbs on 1st floor and on 3rd floor there is 3x 15 watts CFL, very bright which is 6500 Kelvin temperature (blueish light) each. They stay on 24/7 because the building is an small apartment building.

Will it be enough for pothos to grow in those light conditions.

Two times a week, I will be supply some light "plant grow" light bulb to enourage more photosynithesis for it to grow.

Please give some feedbacks, it'll be great. I consider myself an expert.

    thanks

  • My mother is in coma, need some advice?

My mother was found laying on the floor in her apartment by the police but was very awake but with slurred speech, etc.

My mother was hospitialized last Sunday (Aug 23, 2007) with pnemonia in the E.R. and ended up transferred into I.C.U. that night, she could not breath on her own. The doctors decided to induce her into deep coma to stop her from moving too much to be able to have her on ventilation machine.

I have went to the hospital and spend 24 hours there. There is no changes in her, which she has 40% chance to live, while 60% can result in death.

She had 2 blood transfer, 2 plasma transfer and are on 24 different IVs (antibotics, morphine, etc) at 2 am and 3 am yesterday morning.

Her kidneys/liver seems to start to fail because not cleaning out the toxics through urine. the doctors decided to put her on blood diaylis machine. It has been now almost 4 days. What is her chances, any feedback and prayers are welcome.

    thank you

  • water foundation by Hagen called "CatIt" anyone tried that ?

I am thinking of getting my cat a water foundation that have a dome flowing design for my cats, they tend to go to the toliet and drink water from it which I try to avoid as much as I can. I change their water dish two times a day.

Do you feel that this product will work well for my cats and is it hard to keep the machine clean? Any positive or negative opinion about it ?

  • homemade water foundation with fish supplies ?

I am thinking of buying "Catit" water dome foundation for my cat, the price of it actually bite me which retails for 49.00 in pet stores. My local Walmart or Zellers don't carry it.

I was wondering if It is a good idea to buy maybe 3 or 5 gallon glass tank and buy a Aquaclear filter to make the water moving and to clean the water at the same time. Also adding tiny, small air pump with a small air stones in the water to put more oxgyen in the water. I figure it'll cost me about 30 dollars together and I'm sure the filter will last longer than those filters of Catit.

let me know what you all think of it. There will no NO fish or any thing of that nature. (gravels, plants, etc) just plain water.

  • How fast Revolution will work aganist Ear Mites?

I am considering to get Revolution to use on my cat, since he has both Fleas and Ear Mites and it has been annoying him and I. I'm curious if Revolution will help to reduce or destory all ear mites and how long will it takes the revolution to work on ear mites ? (speaking of number of hours? )

Lately I've been trying to use cotton balls to clean his ears out and using one or two drops of ear mites drops from pet store and it has been too much work for me.

    thanks

  • which site to buy Revolution on-line from Canada website?

I am interested to buy Revolution for my 3 year old cat, Chipmunk to gain more control of Fleas and ear mites. I am interested if anyone can recommend me to buy Revolution on-line in Canada because i don't want to pay any customs duties fees from the border if i order anything from the USA. My Vet wants me to pay over 130 dollars just for him to take a look at my cat and admistrate the Revolution on him which i find it outrage.

    Thanks in Advance
