  • Comfortable nursing shoes?

I'm in the nursing profession. Feet are killing me at the end of the day. Does anyone out there know of a shoe brand that absorbs most of the force from so much walking and lifting all day? I'm trying Knapps Grabbers right now, and they seem great, but also seem to fall apart quickly.

    Thanks people!

  • Can anyone tell me about breeding Great Danes?

I have ended up as the owner of a 2-year old, AKC registered Great Dane. Didn't expect it, and it happened overnight a couple of weeks ago. Apparently, he was bred to be a breeder. He's a beautiful dog and an extremely loyal companion. Follows me like my shadow.

My brother keeps telling me that I should breed him, and I've already gotten one call from another Great Dane owner asking me how much I want for my dog's stud services.

But I don't know anything about the dog breeding industry. Does anyone out there know what is usual and customary in it? Is there somewhere online that I could read up on the subject?

Is there anything in this industry I should be aware of that would hurt my dog?

Thanks in advance for your time.

  • Good info sources for GBP/JPY?

I trade the GBP/JPY, and have fantastic technical indicators already set up. However, I still need some good sources that might point out "the mood" surrounding this pair on any given trading night. I already use Forex Factory, and sometimes go to Bloomberg.com, but I've found that Bloomberg is not a great source of info for either of these two currencies.

Does anyone know where I can get good info on the Pound and/or Yen? I only speak English and Spanish, so sites in Japanese won't do me much good.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

  • Where can I download MetaTrader 4 for currency trading?

Is there a cost involved? I already have a brokerage, but can't get MetaTrader 4 through them. Do I need to be trading through a particular broker or other entity in order to get MetaTrader 4, or can I just download an independent version to my computer?

    Please advise.

  • Pivot Point probabilities for GBP/JPY?

Does anyone know where I can access the historic percentages/probabilities of the GBP/JPY slipping below its pivot point supports (S1,S2,S3) or breaking through its resistances (R1,R2,R3)?

Hopefully it's on the internet somewhere, but I can't seem to find it.

Can someone help me out here?

  • How do I access MetaTrader 4?

My forex broker does not carry MetaTrader 4, has no plans to do so. However, I like the broker I currently use.

Can I access MetaTrader 4 without necessitating a change in brokers? How do I access MetaTrader 4? Any details I should know about once I have done so?

  • Volume measure in foreign exchange market?

I trade the foreign exchange market. I have a friend who trades the US stock markets.

Everytime we have lunch, he shows me a bar chart that measures current volume for any given stock. It's not an oscillator, it's an old fashioned bar chart, the higher the volume the higher the bar.

I would love to have such a thing for my foreign exchange. Does anyone know if such a bar chart indicator exists for the foreign currency market?

    Specifically for the GBP/JPY.

  • Where to find announcements that affect Japanese yen?

I noticed that there was unusually large movement on the GBP/JPY currency pair in the end of October '08 to the beginning of November '08.

I looked on Forex Factory for an explanation, but found none that would explain that kind of movement.

    My question is twofold:

    1) What caused such huge movement in this market at this time?

    2) Since it's not on Forex Factory, where else can I find a heads up about whatever caused these huge (mainly bearish) runs?

  • Size of the "singularity" in a black hole?

I've heard it said that they are the size of a pea, and heard others say that it is smaller than the head of a pin. Does anyone really have a good idea about this, or are we simply taking (literally) shots in the dark?

  • Best overall large breed dogs for families?

I would like a very large breed dog that is protective without being aggressive, as there are many children in my neighborhood. However, I would like my teenage daughter to be able to go for a walk with a dog that is visually imposing to humans.

I've thought about Great Danes, but have heard they can be aggressive without provocation toward other animals.

I'd like my dog to be a defender, not an aggressor.

I'm no dog expert. Suggestions as to very large breeds?

  • "Naked" short sale and normal short sale?

I know what a short sale is. What is a "naked" short sale, such as I've been hearing about recently as related to certain US and UK financial institutions?

Are a short sale and a naked short sale the same thing?

  • What did Dickinson mean by the word "cubits"?

Emily Dickinson wrote a poem, one line of which has the word "cubits" in it. Here's how it goes:

The heroism we recite would be a daily thing

Did not ourselves the cubits warp for fear to be a king.

In this context, what does the word "cubits" mean? Is it the measurement, and if so, what does this line mean?

  • Yahoo Messenger wiped out my network. What do I do?

I have a new Dell laptop that was functioning fine on my current home network for the past 3-4 weeks. My daughter and I downloaded Yahoo Messenger from http://messenger.yahoo.com/, and as soon as I tried to use it to add a contact, my whole network went down. None of the other computers could access the internet either.

I followed the instructions in my Linksys Easylink Advisor to connect my network back up to the internet. However, the network has now disconnected itself from the internet 3 more times in the last 12 hours. I ran a virus check with AVG, turned up nothing.

  • Heard drug addicton rates in Holland are half that of the US? Anyone know sources I could check out on this?

I found this in a book called "What Every American Should Know About Europe", but I can't find a reference or a footnote that justifies the statement itself.
