brand new snow blower engine started first time fine and won't start again. What could it be?
I just purchased a brand new Husqvarna 924HV 2-stage snow thrower with a 208 cc Snow King engine. Last Saturday I filled gas tank with new 86 octane regular gas with Ethanol no more than 10%.
I read the manual on starting and the thrower and it started on the first pull. I finished my driveway within 20 minutes and shut off the thrower by turning engine switch to stop and removing safety key.
Within 10 seconds I decided to restart the engine to help a neighbor and it would not start. I went through all the starting steps but would not kick over. I did hear a small back fire noise on one of the pulls. I also tried using the electric starter and would still not turn over. I let the engine cool for two hours and would still not start. Everthing is brand new and started beautifully the first time.
What are the basic steps I should go through before I try a service center?
