  • Do You Think Alexander III of Macedon (The Great) Is Overrated?

Do you think Alexander III of Macedon is one of the most overrated generals in all of history world wide? For example, we can start with field tactics. Alexander have showed lack of ability in conducting ambushes or the least, setting them up and executing perfect feints and decoy, most historians will understand that the huge success is due to the fact that Persia is at it's fall (for example, too big, and the Persia King did not rule all it's empire, similar to Duke or Barons system in Medieval Europe), and the fact that Alexander have one of the most powerful army at ever, second to Qin Dynasty, possibly outclassed by India but many would want to debate this.

For example, the Phalanx, the formation when used by well trained Hoplites (arguably the most well trained veterans in the entire world) is exactly at Alexander's disposal, their army is superior even to Persian's bows, making them, basically, impenetrable by bows of the Persians. In Alexader's most successful battles, we can speculate that he only achieved success due to superior infantry and cavalry than the enemy in every way, most importantly, their moral, while Persian troops will be routed easily.

I mean, come on, he don't even understand the psychology of the enemy general, but usually looks at the battlefield and decide how to deal with it, like an engineer fixing a dead no life broken Ballista or whatever. His enemies have showed lack of skill in... everything. For example, Alexander is usually very keen and likes to "hammer" at enemy weaknesses, if he was faced against an enemy like Hannibal Barca or Cao Cao, the "weakness" would be deception in which Alexander himself would be killed (as he usually fights with his men), leaving his army un coordinated.

Most people don't like to admit it, but keen learners will know that the show in India was ridiculous and beyond belief, if Alexander have defeat all India's greatest army and even defeating King Porus (this was believed to be Hellenic Propaganda, as these are all extracted from Hellenic sources, Alexander >does not< have an as great of influence in India as most may think):

    1. Why did he retreat?

    2. In the pact with King Porus, why did he wanted chariots?

    3. Why did his men refused to continue any further? The notion that his men are tired and long to see their families is absurd, as by the time Alexander have reached India, most of his original veterans are dead, his army consisted hugely of mercenaries.

The siege of Tyre was ridiculous, Alexander decided to ordered Greek engineers to construct a bridge, if it wasn't for Greek engineering and mathematical superiority, this would be an impossible task to accomplish, this reminds me of a child making rash decisions, and only succeed because of his superior equipment.

I type to much, I only came here for opinions, because I love them.

  • Paris Is Undeveloped: Opinions?

So I've just been to Paris...

People piss on the ground, some, well most... in fact, every single person that speaks French is rude, and some even look at you weird, especially old people. On the underground train, it's really... excuse my French ( : D Now I understand!), ****. Compared to the >worse< underground trains in China, it is 100 times shitter, the sits are extremely outdated, the tracks are extremely outdated and so are the platforms, the security is extremely outdated, the train is super oh so amazingly outdated, you need to actually open the train doors yourself (no security, I've seen people stuck between doors in Hong Kong, it automatically opens, you don't open the doors yourself), there is no sound indicating the stations. Once in the train, the power actually went out for a short period of time, it stopped and all the lights went out, it went back up of course, basically, the underground train is really really bad, you'd think you're living in a third world country.

Now, there are actually a considerable amount of graffiti, and the streets are dirty, very dirty. If you grow up in places such as Singapore (very very clean) and just so happen to visit Paris, you'll probably want to burn the entire place, some streets even smell. This is Paris, the capital of France, what the ****?

You know, France looks like a very very poor country that is ruled by a retard, at least people in Britain are polite.

  • Evidence That The Second Dimension Exist?

What we recognize today as 2nd dimension in reality, is actually a composite of 3rd dimension particles (such as drawings on a piece of paper), everything in our reality in which we perceive is all 3rd dimensional, even to the tiniest sub-atomic particle, but we perceive certain aspects as 2nd dimension.

    Does the 2nd dimension exist?

  • God Gene Disproves The Existence of God?

Apparently, a "God Gene" have been found, which is VMAT2 code.

Please go online and research the gene before misunderstanding the question.

"VMAT2 appears to be involved in the transport of monoamine neurotransmitters across the synapses of the brain. PZ Myers argues: "It's a pump. A teeny-tiny pump responsible for packaging a neurotransmitter for export during brain activity. Yes, it's important, and it may even be active and necessary during higher order processing, like religious thought." - Wikipedia

I want to ask if the stretching exercises enable you to grow taller, if so, if you decided to suddenly stop your stretching exercise routine, would you suddenly grow back shorter of something? And does it really work? If it does work, how many difference does it make, so maybe 1 inch or 2?
