  • Question about Ovarian Cysts..?

    Hi,

I'm 20 and have suffered from 3 ovarian cysts in the past, had all 3 removed aswell..

I've started again for the last 4 days to go through adominal pain a sharp stabbing pain, I've got a headache, awfully tired and have been sick. Painkillers aren't doing much good either currently and I'm on strong ones. I take antisickness but still am sick after eating or not long after.

I was told on my 2nd removal of ovarian cyst that if I got another, i was to be reffered to gynaecology immediately by the doctors but they refuse to do so.

The pain is really bad, but I'm not wanting to sit through a&e just for it to be sent home as they have done on my 1st and told me to come back when it's worse pain that I can't cope with..

I go upto the GP on every single one and he gives me 2 weeks worth of painkillers, I still have some left from the last cyst but they've not helped this time at all. :(

I'm just wondering what is best thing to do, and if this is another cyst coming to play?

  • Not peed, been to see urologist...?

I had ovarian cyst surgery done in August, I was catheterized then due to the pressure of the cyst pushing on bladder and not allowing me to pee..

I had problems pee'ing after they'd remove the catherer but they sent home saying it'd get better in time.

Tis now 3 months on, and I still haven't peed...

I have to get cathered up by the local nurses when it gets really bad. So they sent me through to a Urologist, which was today..

He was with me approximately 10 minutes before leaving in which he said it's not possible, it's in my head. Because I have MS too, he questioned me on how I knew, when I've got all diagonsis and medical notes say I have it, but to him, i was a liar..

Hes reffered me to a mental health people for assuming in my head that I've got MS & not peed.

BUT, he did no bloods, no family history, no tests, nothing just questioned me on my life and what illnesses I "reckon" i've got?!

Is this usual for a first time appointment? Being that i'm now going mental and need to see mental health people when my GP reffered me to urology along with my MS doctors..

  • Perianal Abscess still bleeding - what to do.?

Hi, I had a perianal abscess drained now a month ago, in emergency surgery, everyday since then I've had to go and get it redressed.

The doctor today (my local ones...not hospital) said to give it another 3 weeks (we'll be upto 2 months after this) to let it heal and it'll be fine, if not, he'll send me back to the hospital.

I've now had to change dressings here at home 6 times since seeing them 8 hours ago, they've been full of blood and puss, and won't stop :(

Do I ring the out of hours clinic, OR, leave it for the night to suffer and wait till I go back now Thursday to see the nurses in the local doctors for more dressings...

*had to restart on paracetomal, ibruofen and codiene just to take the pain away!!*

  • Perianal Abscess still bleeding?

I had surgery on this a month ago today (6th June) and it was cut open and drained and packed. I was given painkillers and had to go back and forth still to the doctors to get it dressed and packed.

It's now a month on, and still bleeding and pussing like mad. :(

The nurses don't know anything so keep dressing even though I explain it's still bleeding and pussing but won't do anything.

I end up changing my dressing 4/5 times a day because it's bleeding all the time now..

Anyone know what to do? :(

  • Our little one has finally gone into season - what can we do?

We own a 10 month old miniature Yorkie Terrier..

She was due to get spayed soon, but we've had to cancel and change now due to her going into season this morning.. :(

A horrific sight that was, blood everywhere in her pen. Her brand new blanket, filled with blood. Lovely job.

We've been told we can bathe her, but not too often and with all the shampoos? So, can we use flea shampoo on her still or just go to normal shampoo?

Is there anything we can do to make her at ease of the whole your on the season, you can't go play with the other doggies! The neighbours have two adorable Springer Spaniels who love her to pieces..BUT..there male and not done themselves so can't go play.

She seems to want to cuddle with us even more then she did before but has taken the fact of a blanket is where she's going to sleep in.

    Any help is appreciated. :)

  • my boyfriend just revealed he has facial herpes...?

contracted from cold sores, im currently freaked by this.. every thread on yahoo that ive looked at have said its passable. but then i thought surely its only genital thats only passable not facial herpes unless kissing is done? or is it ANY skin contact?

ive never ever had a cold sore, and im now tempted to just go and recieve this off him, so i dont have to worry about stopping our relationship from going any further, or am i plain stupid for wanting them?

    im highly confused. :(

my world is just breaking recently with c**p news.. :(

  • Am I wrong in agreeing to wait to have sex...?

Just want to know really. :/

My boyfriend and I have been going out for about a year now, just over a year in fact. :) I was told by him, he'd wait for having sex, and I agreed that it should wait, with us both in college and not having enough behind us in case things do go wrong in this whole thing. :)

He said he would wait until we're both old enough (20, 21i-sh) and have enough money and ready to settle down and have kids once we're sorted.

We're not engaged or anything, although, he's been telling his friend's he plan's on getting engaged this year on my birthday (kinda, sweet eh?)

But, I just wanna know really, without going into much detail on your behalf's, am I wrong for agreeing we should wait, or would you, if you was in our position also wait until your settled down together?

Neither of us have cheated before and have no problem's with trusting each other, so, surely, this should be okay if we both agreed to wait, or is it just pure stupid waiting ?

    Opinions loved please. (:

  • Question about Breeding on Gerbils?

    Hello.

Just a question I need to ask.

We have two litters now of gerbils, each litter has the same mother and a different father for each litter. Am I able too next year put a pup from the first litter and a pup from the second litter together to mate even though they have the same mum next year? Or would it cause genetic problem's in any of the new born.

If you do know any of this please get back to me on this and everything.

Best answer to the top reply with the best answer.

    Thankyou. :)

  • 6 babies, 2 are now fighting, ones on the verge of dying I believe. :(?

Okay, so Biscuit (gerbil) had 6 babies on 15th August, all are doing well, up until last night. :/

They aren't old enough to be away from mum as vets say 8 weeks, so, when 8 weeks come, off they go!

Okay, so we have a black one, and a 2 PURE whites, 2 Pure greys, 1 fawn. :)

The black one decided yesterday it didn't like one of the pure white ones and decided to rip it apart basically. (I'll explain more!!)

Biscuit was grooming the white one, when the black one came from the bed and literally jumped on the white one and bit around its bum/back legs. It's all bloody and sore, when you pick the lil one up, it just lays there letting you fuss and give it a play, but squeeks when you go to touch the area so we know its sore. :(

Is there anything we can do until they are 8 weeks old to stop the fighting and clear up the lil ones wounds? Biscuit does sleep with her and grooms her in the corner away from the others, so we know she is being cared for by mumma gerbil. :)

Can we use salt water or something on the lil ones wounds or just plain warm water?

    Thanks. :(

  • Mosquito bite pain relief?

Okay, so in 5 hours, will mark 24 hours after getting bitten by my lovely allergic reaction biting friend, Mosquito! :(

I have been told and had tests done and been told I'm allergic to them, so please don't lecture me on saying I'm not.. :|

Okay, so it's half way between my wrist and elbow, and swelled, entirely along the wrist and elbow bone, no scratching or itching involved. It's burning to touch STILL, and is hard, still. I have been given antihistamine tablets and have the cream already here.

Is there anything I can do to stop this itching and swelling as can't have another tablet until tomorrow as it's one per day and the cream doesn't touch it. :/

    Any suggestions appreciated.

    - Ohh, and this would be my 73rd mosquito bite from June 2010. Doctors keep a note and told me today, Oh how i love them!

  • I'm an idiot. I placed my male gerbil back with the other male gerbil and now have them fighting....?

Okay, so Spice went out to breed with Biscuit.

    Spice is male.

    Biscuit is female.

Biscuit gave birth 3 days ago, spice went back to his brother that day.

Spice is now fighting with the other male, and I mean proper fighting, his brother (the other male) has had his claws ripped out, bitten on the face, chest etc etc. He was covered in blood (nice white male, turned red, fun.) so we took him out to clean him, he just layed there and let us gently clean him with a wet warm sponge, he then dried off with a little towel cuddled up against me, didn't care at all whilst it was being done.

We've got a rotastak with spice in at the minute, and the other is in the cage alone.

Keep them seperated OR introduce slowly?

No way is he going back to Biscuit after the fighting. :(

  • It's about 2 weeks nearly since my gerbils...?

Got together, I have been told she is pregnant by the vets. :) :) :)

So, I'm wondering, it's 2 weeks soon, when do I clean out her cage?

I'm moving her into a larger tank with the male gerbil.

    Any suggestions

  • Once I've mated two gerbil's, do I seperate male from female afterwards?

I've mated my female and male with each other, do I leave them together or do I seperate them through the pregnancy? I'm new to this.

I don't want another set of babies though!
