A friend who is elderly without realising an accident had occured has a summons for not reporting it. She gave a statement to the court explaining the circumstances. She had merely moved up the road a little way as she was blocking an entrance. It was clearly seen by the other driver and no damage had been done to a car. The problem is as she had pleaded guilty the court official have now advised her to plead innocent and maybe go to trial. This she cannot face as she has a husband with dementia, and a mentally handicapped daughter to contend with plus she is 80 years old and its too much to face. The dilemma is she cannot lie and pretend to be guilty just to avoid a trial, but likewise doesnt feel guilty of crime. What she would like to do is just take the points and fine and end the whole episode. Any advice welcome.

My daughter visited us from Norfolk with 3 small children + dog. When the car door opened the dog saw a cat and took chase, we called him back immediately while my daughter brought the children in, the dog was only gone for a moment. Yesterday lunch time we all suffered abuse from this girl because it was her mothers cat, she called my daughter insulting names, plus using the worst foul language I have ever heard. I asked her quietly please dont swear like that in front of the children but she then called us all c****s. We are not bad neighbours and dogs will be dogs but it has really upset us all and my daughter feels she cannot visit us anymore because of this girl. Have you any suggestions as to what to do?

I just have to say how very happy I am to be in the truth. We are so educated, blessed with such unity worldwide, free from materialism, racial prejudice, have genuine trust in each other but except that we are all imperfect and can sometimes make mistakes. But what amazes me is all the other benefits, like seeing both sides of things and not prejudging anyones motives but seeing good in all. Plus we have the 'wisdom from above' that steers us in the right direction in all our life.
