  • Telecommuters! Need your help! Please read!?

I'm completely an analytical study of telecommuter/teleworkers for my job. If you are a teleworker, please complete the survey. The survey is short and simple, and shouldn’t take you more than a few minutes.

Due to the amount of bored twelve year olds on this site, I am not going to post the survey link. If you are interested in taking it, please message me directly or email me at crystalsecretin[at]gmail.com and I will send you the link.

Please complete the survey by 4:00 pm on Tuesday, July 15th.

Also, if you think of anyone else who telecommutes, please forward this to them.

  • How to curb barking when I am not home?

I have a 2 1/2 old min pin. I have trained him to hang out in his crate (which is XL and fits his bed and toys) and not have potty issues while I'm at work. Thing is, he barks for a little while after I leave.

Just moved into a new place and got a note yesterday saying my dog "barks the entire time" I'm gone. First, I just moved in two days ago. The dog is stressed out because he's in a new house. Second, I seriously doubt that if he had barked from 8-5 that he would even have a voice left. He wasn't barking when I got home and actually looked like he had just woken up. Same thing when I got home from dinner later that night.

However, I am aware that he DOES bark. I have tried training tips but it's time for something more concrete. I refuse to elecrocute him and can't use the sonic deterents because there is another barking dog in the building behind mine. I don't want him to be punished when it's not him. I might try citronella spray.

    What are some other options?

  • Noticed a creepy lump on my throat, right above my eve's-apple, slightly to the right. WTF?

It doesn't hurt and I have no other symptoms (sore throat, trouble swallowing, fever, etc).

I made a doctor's appointment but in the meantime I'm freaking out. Does anyone have any idea what this might be?

I have pretty bad allergies so I was thinking maybe I got an infection of some sort and my lymph nodes are swollen?

  • Sacramento dump. Where is it? I am moving and I need to throw away some wrecked furniture and a queen bed.?

Is there a dump or junk yard I can take it to? I know the ol' stick it in an alley or next to a dumpster trick, but I was actually going to try and get rid of this stuff the proper way.

  • Pasta Feed Help. How many kinds of pasta sauce can you think of? Suggestions?

I am organizing a pasta feed at my work. We need to feed about 250 people (give or take a few) and we want to offer a plate of paste with their choice of sauce, plus a small side salad and a canned beverage.

My question is, what kinds of sauces should I use? I want to avoid complicated things, or things that people commonly don't like or are allergic to (like seafood).

    So far I have:

    Traditional, no frills marinara

    Mushroom

    Vegan vegetable sauce

    Meat sauce

    Marinara with meatballs

    Pesto

    Cheese (like fetuccine sauce)

    Garlic

Spicey jalapeno sauce (my own creation, actually)

If you have a simple recipe, or any good suggestions, please let me know!!! Also, if you have any estimations for how much sauce should be served over each portion (it will be approx 2 ounces of noodles per person), let me know that too.

    Thanks!

  • My neighbor is harassing me. What should I do?

Long story short...I moved in a year ago with my roommate to an upstairs/downstairs duplex. Since we moved in, the upstairs guy, "Sam", has been trying to make our lives hell. Without even voicing any complaints to us, he has complained numerous times to the landlord, called the police on us, and even filed a complaint again my dog's barking.

We aren't loud or inconisderate neighbors, and don't deserve this treatment.

The neighbor has also stolen from me, assaulted one of my guests in June 2007, and damaged the property and threatened us. He is a diagnosed bipolar/psychotic.

We have tried to work with him and be friendly and have not filed complaints against him of any kind (though in retrospect we should have). Now it is just too much.

What do you suggest I do?

  • How much pasta to buy for fundraiser pasta feed?

I am organizing a pasta feed for a fundraiser at my work and an unsure of how much pasta to bring. We will likely need to feed 200-250 people and will be giving everyone a single-serving portion of pasta. Does anyone have any idea how much pasta will be needed?
