  • Engagement ring round diamond size - .63 or .80?

Having a hard time deciding what diamond to have put into a white gold or platinum open / half bezel solitaire ring. Both rings are of the same cut, finish, table, depth and would cost the same money.

My girlfriend has small hands and is a very simple lady.

    Option 1

    Size: .63

    Color: E-F

    Clarity: IF-VVS1

    Option 2

    Size: .8

    Color: G-H

    Clarity: VS1-VS2

From my research, it seems both will look the same quality to the naked eye and option 2 is a better value play. My personal leanings right now are toward option 1 because it is one of the very best and my fiance-to-be deserves the very best. However when she shows it off, other women looking at it will just be looking at the size. Let's face it, size matters..

    What are your thoughts?

    Thank you

  • Would a Ford Focus take away my "man card"?

Single and going to turn 30 this year. Thinking of getting rid of my truck and getting a Ford Focus.

Is this a turnoff or do ladies even car what kind of a car you drive as long as it's not a rust bucket?

  • How long is Hypnotiq good after it's opened?

I haven't bought this in years and finally did again. I stuck a brand new bottle in the freezer thinking 17% (I think) was enough not to freeze. Well it froze and started leaking from the cork.

So I put in the fridge. The seal is still on and the cork never opened, it just leaked out a little.

I'm basically treating it like it's opened. Will this keep a couple months or even a year???

    thanks

  • What is an "apartment" in Sweden?

Sorry, but this seems to be the most appropriate place to ask this question.

When doing online dating, I found a female from sweden who is living in the United States. She said something that doesn't make sense to me, therefor maybe being a scam of some sort.

She told me she lived in an apartment (in the US). However when she told me what street it was on, I knew there was only what we call "single family" homes.

I think I've caught her in a lie but wanted to double check what someone from Sweden would call an apartment.

    thanks

  • Ladies, how many emails a day do you get on Match.com?

I joined Match.com and am having about the same answer rate to my emails - about 1 in 20 get replied to in any fashion.

I know on Plenty of Fish, it's nothing for a semi-attractive woman to get 10-20 emails a day and that's with her being on the site a minimal amount of time per day.

I was just wondering if things were a little more calm for you on Match

  • 2.9LI4 vs 3.7LI5 Colorado?

Wondering if owners could do a practical comparison between the 2 engines.

I used to have a 2.3LI4 Ford Ranger and felt it was lacking in acceleration. Curouis if the 2.9 was significantly better or perhaps I should step up to the 3.7?

  • If your date got cut short, does it lack creativity to take her there again?

I took her to a local minor league baseball game a couple weeks ago but it started pouring rain in the 3rd inning.

Would trying it again be ok or not?

  • 2" barrel revolver accuracy?

    Got a question

You hear all the time about how 2" guns aren't accurate.

In theory, the 2" barrel should be as accurate as a 4" or a 6". It's just that the sight plane is different and makes it harder to aim. There might be a balancing issue for some people as well.

But is the problem the short barrel or is the problem really that most handgun shooters couldn't hit the barn from the inside anyway due to lack of experience or recoil anticipation?

I'm looking at picking up a 2" Taurus 94 in 22lr for a trail gun. I'd like to be able to shoot the 9 shots into a 3" group at 25 yards from a rest (which is about what my Mark II can do).

Curouis if that was realistic with the ammo it likes --- single action shooting only?

  • Is it ok to dry fire a new Smith and Wesson model 60?

I bought one of these guns last night. I know light dry firing is typically ok on all guns but I have also heard of people dry firing certain designs hundreds or thousands of times when new to loosen things up a bit.

I tried it a few times

I was just curouis where these S&W's fall

  • Can 3/8 front dovetail sights be knocked out and put back in multiple times?

I'm thinking of getting a Ruger Vaquero which has a fixed front sight on it. I would like to get a front sight dovetailed into the barrel for the purposes of target shooting and deer hunting.

For most of the year, I would keep one of the dovetails in that is zeroed for a lighter 38 special. During the fall, I would like to have it zeroed with a full house 357 load (which will in all likelyhood require a front sight with a different elevation).

Is it harmfull to the barrel & dovetail cut or harmfull to the dovetail sight to be driven out and put back in like this yearly?

I obvouisly don't want to cause any damage to my gun.

    Thanks

  • F-150 premium sound vs regular stereo?

I did a special order and have until today to amend it. I forgot all about the "premium sound / 6 cd player"

I was curouis how you guys like the regular stereo when listening to music. I drive with the windows down and the stereo pretty loud all the time (especially at highway speed).

How well does it sound and how well does it hold up?

    Worth the extra $500???

  • Is it unhealthy buy a vehicle like what you remember growing up?

The short story - when I was growing up, ever since I can remember, my dad always owned white trucks. My childhood wasn't that great, but pretty much every good memory involved those couple of trucks when we went camping, fishing, etc.

He finally got rid of it last year and now I'm in the market for a truck since mine is getting up in miles.

Is it unhealthy for me to buy a white truck for the sole reason I want to keep those memories alive?

Some part of me wants to continue the tradition but close friends are prety much calling that stupid.

  • wireless adapter can not find access point or can not find internet?

I have a wireless adapter that plugs into my usb ports.

For months it was fine, then one day the thing quit working. So I tried plugging it into a different usb and it seemed to work fine for a few months. All of a sudden last week the internet went dead and I monkeyed around for an hour and it worked. Last night it did the same thing and today it's off and on.

Sometimes it has problems connecting to an access point and other times it's connected to the access point but the internet can not be found.

My signal is rather low at 65-80%...I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

Basically I'm wondering if this is my computer, my internet service provider, or this adapter.

    Any thoughts?

  • If I was released from jury duty, would you go to work?

I was summonsed for jury duty, they called today and told me I didn't have to come tomorrow. So the immediate thought was that work doesn't have to know about this and can have the day off.

What's the chances that work's going to know about this? They have not requested a written statement from the balliff saying I'm there, and I doubt my work will in the aftermath. Is there anything in their bookkeeping where I'm going to get in trouble when they submit the writeoff to the government?

If called out on it, I can say "well I went there in the morning and they turned me away. I just thought I'd go home"

Obvouisly this would be wrong, but is it illegal or would I get caught?
