So i got into a car accident maybe a month ago and i was driving with only my permit. I rear ended the person in front of me because i got distracted for a split second and didnt realize the light had turned red and hit the back of the car in front of me. I had only my permit. I go to court June 1st, what should i suspect? Will my license get suspended for a prolonged period of time, or do i just get points on my license when i do get it? Also should i invest in a lawyer? My dad said the lawyers he spoke to have never dealed with such a case and "dont know what to do"

So this is the other option besides Drivers Ed correct? So if you do this 5 hour course what happens? Can you get your junior license or senior license or what? So i got my permit like 2 months ago and i want to be able to drive by myself already, its ruining my life not being able to. If i take the 5 hour course, can't i just say after a few days that i completed my driving hours (parents just vow that i did, sign it whatever, they know im a good driver) and then i get my juniors or seniors license? I dont understand it, please shed light on this

So to set the background, i have around a 3.6-3.7 unweighted GPA, full course rigor, high weighted gpa, didnt take the SAT's yet but expect to get between 2000-2300 from practice tests and im going to study for a LONG time, still have some time. I was thinking of maybe UConn, but is it considered a good school? I live in newyork so i want it close enough to drive for holidays, important family parties etc. Uconn is 3 hours away, party school, seems like a good school (considered Ivy of publics i think?). I was also thinking Umass, Northeastern, Uni of virgina, maybe John Hopkins if i get in. I wanna do medical, so maybe major in something like biochemistry? Some people said Penn state but is that even a good schooll? I could do NYU but i really wanna dorm, and commuting to the city everyday would suck. Ideas mang?
