They are retiring and are leaving to go back and live in the Philippines. I'm the youngest of the bunch and am having the hardest time dealing with it. So I thought that maybe if I focus my energy on a gift or giving them something then it will make me less sad. Any ideas?

I am applying to the Peace Corps and have just been told that all teaching positions have been filled :( Fortunately, there are plenty of volunteer opportunities in the Health Care field BUT I would first have to gain working experience before I can be considered.

Now the problem is, because I don't have much experience in the Health field, most of the volunteer jobs I can find on my own through google are clerical/data entry jobs at hospitals and clinics. I need something more of a hands-on practical experience specifically within the following areas: EMT, CPR or first aid certification; hospital, hospice or clinic work; HIV/AIDS or family planning education or counseling; or lab tech.

I am getting to graduate this May from CSUN so if there are anything that are available right now, I would only be able to work in the weekends. However, once I graduate I will have more time to volunteer.

It's just an idea that I have with a good friend of mine. And I know with today's economy, it seems like a little far-fetched but it's something that we might possibly want to do later on. How would one go about starting a small business like that?

If it makes any difference, we live in the LA area but not near downtown LA where there are tons of these little shops everywhere. We're more in the San Fernando Valley area.

Can somebody please tell me how I can turn my straight long hair into a jerry curl poof like his. I know I won't be able to make it look like his exactly but I want a semi-afro of sorts...It also would be fabulous if i can get it to stay all night. maybe twice, three times a year if that. i'm 23. i feel fine. no pains, no discomfort...infact, i consider it a blessing, which is why i never went to the doctors. i've had family members who have been this irregular and they're fine, they've even managed to get pregnant...but lately i've been wondering why i don't have it every month. now i'm starting to kind of worry. is there anyone else out there who don't get their period regularly?? could this be something super serious?

say you were dating someone for about 2 weeks. you've made a real connection you feel like. then you get a call and it's them telling you that they want to talk about something serious: it turns out, they go to school in another state...on the other side of the country. the reason why they didn't mention it in the first place is because they didn't know how to tell you; because if they did, then you might not have given them a chance in the first place. what would you do? would u arrange a visit sometime in the future? keep talking? ignore the whole thing and forget anything ever happened?

what if you were having a child. and you wanted to add a number or numbers to his name like for example 2pac (haha...i know) would you be allowed to do that? or maybe spell it like a screen name? like nAt@L!3?
