My bf said he'd like an electric razor, and I'm going to get him one, but I have no idea where to start. Is giving a razor even a good idea? Would he feel obliged to use it if he hated it?

Also, if you could get one, which would you want the most? Or do you recommend one?

I live in Temecula, CA, and was hoping to find a store that will transfer my old cassette tapes to cd's, a major retailer would be nice if they can do it cheaply.

Is the book out of print? It seems impossible to find...Unless I am looking under the wrong title.

I grew up in California and so have never heard of things like the kappa and kirin, and the tsuchi no ko. I'd like to read more about them and other Japanese stories, but I have to request them through my local library system, and so I need a specific title. Searching "japanese mythical monsters" and other combinations hasn't helped me much.

I'd like one in English, obviously.

What I found by the side of the road in Wine country, Temecula CA, looked crazy. It grew on a bush about a foot high. The thing was light green and covered in long spikes, and was the size of an avocado. When I brought it home, I left in on the counter. A day later, it had literally exploded from the bottom, and threw big roundish seeds everywhere.

If you ever seen the movie Alien, the fruit or whatever it is looks just like the eggs after they open, split open from one end into four sections.

Do you know what this plant is?

Whenever I look in my in-box, before I can click on anything it says "sorting Emails" and then puts them in alphabetical order, regardless of whether they are new or old.

I can't find an option anywhere to sort email, so I don't know how it started. It's been doing it for weeks.

A while ago, I found a Cracked article with a reference to the Harry Potter movies. It had said people in England had been getting owls, and abandoning them at animal shelters, and it showed a youtube video of white owls hissing and screeching.

There is a scene in this short movie parodying the scene in Star Wars where the assassins and bounty hunters are receiving instructions from Darth Vader.

One of the bounty hunters, referred to as Dengar, has constant line of patter that reminds me of some old comedian or other, and I'm wondering if this is intentional.

If you are wondering who I'm talking about : The first monologue he has is on the elevator, where he talks about his weekend, then later when he talks to the other bounty hunters he says hes a disintegration machine.

Yes, I am a lazy, probably bad girlfriend. But the last gift I got him, I assumed was a sure thing and it failed. The total was $65+.

So what would you want?

I would have to go to work 7.30am for an elderly lady whose family won't pick her up on Christmas. I would have to stay there until 9am on the 26th, and I would be paid time and a half.

Normally this wouldn't be a question for me but I've had to take so many days off lately I'm afraid of being fired. Plus I've been asking for more hours and this was their rather cruel response.

What would you do?

I know that they change the names of the people in their lives, and a few details, so they are not recognizable.

But what if a family member reads the book, sees that it is someone they know, and is mortified by all the personal information about themselves? Couldn't they cause a lot of problems for the author by lying to a reporter, revealing thier identity and saying none of it was true?

Also, aren't bio-authors afraid of being alienated by their family and friends who might read the book?

(If they decide to write under a pseudonym?)

I wear a size ten women's shoe, and I am tall. My boyfriend is several inches shorter.

He likes me to wear feminine shoes, but hates me to wear heels. For obvious reasons...

Have you seen any sexy shoes with absolutely no heel? It seems the only ones I can find are the ugly ballet type shoes, in bad colors. Also the selection in most stylish retailers is really bad for my size.

I have a 12 hour job where all I do is sit with an old lady and read, So I have tons of time.

I love horror and fantasy, and some of my favorite short story authors are Ursula K. Le Guin, Roald Dahl, Joe Hill, Richard Matheson, Neil Gaiman, Stephen King, and so on and forth.

I have read many horror anthologies, including The Years Best Fantasy and Horror 2005, 2006, 2007.

I guess I'm looking for lesser known authors.

I met this nice guy, Peter, six months ago. I knew in one month that it wasn't going anywhere with me, but he panicked a little when I mentioned a break up. He spent a bundle on Universal Studios year passes (something I offered to split, and he refused) and he insists on paying for every meal and outing, and even gas for my car. He's scaring me a little with his devotion.

I would have broke up a long time ago, but the money issue bothers me. Would it be rude to offer to pay for at least the season pass?

I can't seem to find it on any of the normal hosts and I don't want to download it.

I'm 22 and feel too old for MySpace, I hate facebook because it bores me to death, and twitter seems to be only for people with tons of time to burn.

My friend "Dawn" used to be short and chubby. She had problems finding boyfriends, and she thought it was because of her body type.

Then she lost a little weight, and she had fun meeting guys and dating. But right now she is brokenhearted because every guy she meets just goes on one date, sleeps with her, and dumps her.

How do I, without hurting her feelings, tell her what she is doing wrong?

Because it is glaringly obvious to me. Before, she had no confidence because she thought she'd need a certain kind of body to get a boyfriend. Now she thinks she needs to "put out" for a guy to go on multiple dates. What's really sad is the guys don't even give an explanation, just avoid her and don't answer calls.
