Where's the logic error?
I have a page-a-day Jeopardy calendar. Today (4/17/07) offers the following answer:
"U.S. Prices in 1940 were roughly the same as in 1800, so this is a fairly recent problem"
(The question is "What is inflation?")
There's a huge hole in this argument, namely the Great Depression. What I can't figure out is what logical fallacy are they relying on (if any)?
(This is the second error I've found in this year's calendar. I wonder how many I've missed?)
5 AnswersPhilosophy1 decade agoWhy do people take down their Christmas decorations before Christmas is over?
Everyone knows the song "The Twelve Days of Christmas." The 12th day of Christmas is either January 5th or January 6th, depending on how you count the dates. Yet people seem eager to throw away their trees and strip off the house lights before their true love can get to the turtledoves, nevermind the golden rings. Why is this?
