  • Upgrade options for my computer, specifically gfx card, psu and memory.?

    I built my first computer just over a year ago and the xfx 8800gs was the only immediate option available. However, I want to be able to play games such as Crysis and Borderlands on better than average settings. I need help deciding what I should upgrade to.

    My computer specs are

    Processor: E8400

    Motherboard: EVGA 780i

    Memory: 2gb (looking to upgrade to 4gb)

    PSU: Corsair HX620 -- SLI ready

    OS: Windows XP, SP3

    MicroCenter has a BFG 250 on sale for $120 that I was considering but I'm not sure if its better to get two 250's and SLI them or get a single 260 or maybe a 280+ and wait for a drop in price in order to get a second? Also, can my PSU handle 2 280's or do I need to upgrade that too?

    Winter Dreams

    Slowly carved out of borrowed hope

    and ice, in my arms you so supposedly slept,

    but my prayers or petitions did not keep

    you from melting within my grasp.
