Does anyone know the best way to do this? The example would be my parents selling their condo they own to me for half the market value. Let's say the condo is worth 60k, and they would like to sell it to me for 30k and I would pay the 30k in cash. What are the tax implications on this purchase? Do we need to go thru a real estate lawyer to do this? I'm looking for the basic steps here on how to go about doing this. The condo is in Florida.

I have 35 watts from combined solar panels in my bedroom window. This goes into a charge controller (10 amp max) then connected to a 12 volt 40 AH AGM battery. I have a 400 watt inverter on top of that. I figure this is relatively safe considering they sell all-in-one units like this, I just wanted to put my own together.

I did mess up once while connecting the battery to the inverter, touched the red and black cables together momentarily and drew a nice looking spark, oops. Aside from that though, is there an obvious hazard I'm missing? Any opinions? I've had this setup for 3 years (just upgraded from a 32.5 AH battery to a 40 AH recently).

I know you can connect steel wool to a 9 volt battery to form a circuit and the steel wool will light because its capacity can't handle the current flow and generates heat. So if you connect the red and black terminals of a 12 volt battery together, what happens? Do electrons flow through it as a closed ciruit even without a load?

Let's say you bought a put option and decide to exercise it at some point. Since you are in theory selling shares of stocks you borrowed (from the broker I assume???) is there a chance that those shares will not be available to be sold when you go to exercise it? Or will your put always be executed?

ok the fan is rated at 12 volts and 400 mA so that gives me roughly 5 watts (12 * .4) of power - BUT - it has two settings, high and low. How do I know if the ratings are for the high or low setting? Is it normal to rate the power at the highest setting and assume the lower setting draws less power?

Those would be my only flats. It's not B flat major as someone mentioned (that would be b flat and e flat) It doesn't seem to fit any standard key. Could it be some type of diminished/seventh key of D minor?

I keep thinking it's some kind of D minor variation but I'm not sure.

If not, why not hike it 8 or 9 yards if it tends to get blocked? What's the real rule?
