I'm about to try out Yaz for the first time, and all I see online are negative reviews...I know there are positive ones out there, but I know that more people get online to complain about stuff than to rave. Does anyone have anything positive to say about Yaz?

My brother and his wife are pretty non-religious...not atheist, just not proactive in faith. They are really neutral on it. I want to introduce my 8 year old niece to the bible so that she knows there is a God she can turn to. I don't think my brother will be offended, but is it crossing the line to give her a bible? She doesn't know about Jesus or God. When I was about her age, my aunt gave me a bible as a gift and I loved it because being a Christian gave me not only an identity, but someone to turn to in times of sorrow and times of joy.

My husband is about to graduate from BMT at Lackland AFB. What day of his 8th Week of Training will he get his orders for Tech School? Anyone remember when orders were handed out? o_o

For those of you who have been to Air Force BMT, what was your schedule like on Sunday? What did you do all day?

I've heard a lot of conflicting information about when you receive your first PCS after Tech School (where your dependents move with you to your first assignment). If your Tech School is only ca. 60 days long, when can you expect to find out where you're stationed?

If you don't know the answer, could you tell me what job you do in the Air Force and when you found out your first base assignment?

When will he find out what job he gets? Will it still be during the 6th week of training even though BMT is 8 weeks long?

My husband is about to graduate from Tech School for the Air Force. How do I go about living near him? Is there a type of housing on base where I can stay temporarily? I know he can't live with me for the first two phases, but I want to live close to him without having to get an apartment.

My husband is at Air Force BMT. My husband said I could reserve a room in Billeting in advance, but when I call, they say you can only reserve 3 days in advance. What am I doing wrong?!

My husband is at basic training for the Air Force. His first paycheck (got it on the 15th of this month) was weak. I'm assuming it didn't have the BAH in it. Do they give you housing allowance on the 1st of each month in a typical pay period instead of dividing it between the two paychecks every month? How does it work?

Does that mean he is going to be General of the Air Force?

My real question is, how/when does he get a job? I've heard a lot of things, like they will give him three jobs to choose from while he's at basic training...or something like that. Any idea how it works?

Okay-here's the deal. I have five weeks to learn how to take good pictures on a digital camera. I know the very basics of photography, and very little on how to operate the manual settings on a camera.

Should I buy a DSLR, or just a super zoom camera like the Nikon P80 or P90?

What kind of pictures can one take with a Nikon D40? Action/Motion? Posed shots?

What camera would you recommend I purchase for my husband's basic training graduation? I need a camera that is around $300, has really good zoom (I'll be taking pictures from the bleachers, about 200 feet from the ceremony itself), excellent motion capture for when he is marching in formation and doing a run with his group, and has good focusing capabilities so I can pick his face out of the crowd and focus on it with my camera.

What are sundays like at Air Force basic training? This is my husband's first Sunday there...I'm just curious what he would be doing today.

My husband is at basic for the air force and I want to write him a good letter, one that will encourage him and lift his spirits a little. What should I write? What should I avoid writing? I don't want to give his TI any material to work with as far as personally picking him apart with a piece of mail.

Before he left, he was a little on the laid back side. He would sleep in a lot, and generally didn't care about a lot of things. He didn't talk a lot unless it involved playing world of warcraft.

How did you change at BMT? What part of you was altered when you went through 8 weeks of screaming, doing push ups and following orders without being able to see your loved ones?
