I am a believer in the Messiah and His Way...I do not support the idea of becoming like the rest of the churches out there. I believe we are supposed to be a peculiar people, and free from all ties to Babylon and all that it implies. Someone has been tampering with my account so if you see any strange answers, please bring them to my attention.
Christian believers, what versions of the Bible do you study and why? Which ones don't you study and why?
I have read several versions and have decided I prefer the NKJV, and I do not like the NIV. I prefer the NKJV because it seems to be more accurate and easier to follow with corrections made over the KJV. The NIV is missing a bunch of verses that I believe should not be ignored.
15 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIf you, as a believer in God were asked why you ignore God's Law of Love, would you be offended?
Someone felt offended by the question and my supporting Bible verses. I don't know who could possibly feel offended if they were someone who believed in God. It is really surprising that a believer would be offended by the Word of God.
19 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHas anyone ever noticed the similarities between the Roman gods and the Catholic saints?
Are there similarities between the Roman gods and the Catholic saints besides the statues names being changed...and some of them putting on clothes? Did anyone ever notice how the saints are "patron saints of..." and the Roman gods were "gods of..." ?
23 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIf there was a Yahoo group for Seventh-day Adventists, would you join it?
If there is already one, let me know...I'd like to get in on it.
17 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat does your courthouse statute of justice look like, and what does it mean?
In San Joaquin County, California, the county courthouse statue of Lady Justice outside the main entrance is a corpulent female, wearing 'I dream of Jeannie' clothing. She has no blindfold, and her scale is not level. In my opinion, it reflects the greedy court of San Joaquin County, and the fact that people with money have a lower conviction rate there than the working poor, etc.
3 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoWhich modern Christian denomination is most like Judaism?
I would like serious answers from people who actually know what I am getting at...that is members of that particular group or Jewish Brethren who have actually made observations please. If you are a non-believer who has made those observations, I would like to read your serious answer as well. Thank you!
20 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy do some Christians say that if you have the Holy Spirit in you, then you must speak in tongues?
According to the Bible, Jesus never spoke in tongues...so does that mean Jesus did not have the Holy Spirit?
32 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy do so many Christians believe the Laws of God are irrelevant to all of God's Children?
I often see the comment that the Laws of God were only for the Jews. Christians say that Jesus Christ is God. Christians believe that God does not change. If so, then how do so many churches come up with the idea that keeping God's Law is legalistic and a sin?
Jesus said, "If you love Me, keep My Commandments."
20 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIf you accidentally thumbs up a person, why can't you take it back?
Have you ever given someone a thumbs up accidentally when you meant to hit the thumbs down button? How about giving someone a thumbs up just to have the person change their answer into something bad...I have experienced both of these scenarios in Y!A. Do you think the thumbs up or down should be changeable until the answer is selected or voted into correctness?
9 AnswersYahoo Answers1 decade agoPaul was the Apostle to the Gentiles; Peter was the Apostle to the Jewish Dispersion, How is Peter 1st Pope?
Please give your reason. If you have a Bible verse, please put it in context.
11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHow many Christians have had 'rotten luck' and thought it was because you have sinned?
Remember Job before you answer...and please no antagonistic or God mocking answers. Thank you!
14 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat verse in the Bible tells about Peter going to Rome to become the reigning Pope?
I have read and re-read the Holy Bible...every time I get to the part about Peter going to Rome, I read the name Paul instead of Peter. I thought Peter stayed in Israel with his wife and family...Paul was the Roman citizen so was allowed to approach Cesar himself.
19 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoDo you have a problem with Children's Protective Services destroying families and children?
I am in the middle of a case with CPS which could stand to destroy my family. I discovered I am not alone. Check the site below:
16 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoOnce a top contributer, what do you have to do to get it back?
I once was a top contributer in R&S, but I was unable to log on for a few months due to being homeless. When I did log back on, I no longer had that nice orange tag that said I was a top contributer. Any ideas? Do I have to get a whole bunch of chosen as best answers to get it back? Maybe there is an Answers admin who can answer my question...
3 AnswersYahoo Answers1 decade agoIs there a connection with sleep deprivation and Alpha state, and memory?
No foolish responses please. If a person is deprived of sleep, could they be 'stuck' in an alpha state and have no memory of that 'stuck' time period?
4 AnswersMental Health1 decade agoSince God does not change, will the Jews, God, and Seventh-day Adventists?
Will they be the only ones keeping the Sabbath Holy, in Heaven?
13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIf we become what we behold, why do we dwell on mistakes or problems instead of the positive and right things?
The counseling programs and so called therapies all seem to get you to wallow around in sinful things instead of focusing on positive role models or positive goals...or better yet, instead of helping you to focus on biblical and godly roles and goals. How can a Christian or anyone else who understands the fact about becoming like what you are often focused on improve with this negative mind set?
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIs it an irrational belief to believe a person who didn't do the crime should admit to it?
If you are accused, and you deny the crime, and even pass a lie detector test, and the court convicts you...afterward they insist you admit to the crime. Their thinking is that if you don't admit to it then you are in denial and will not be able to be cured. The counselors, attorneys, and judges say that all guilty people deny their crimes....so does that mean all innocent people admit to their crimes? Does anyone here have an idea of how to figure out how to deal with this kind of thinking? After all, it is the thinking of the American Justice and Correctional Systems.
