My 7 years old has high cholesterol. His bad and good cholesterol are high (more than 8, normal should be 4.1).

Having a high LDL cholesterol level is almost normal in our extended family.

I found out about my high bad cholesterol when I was 16. Since then, I am taking medication and am eating extremely well.

We are all normal weight (my 7 years old is almost skinny). You could not tell we have high cholesterol.

We exercise regularly. No much tv/computer. No junk food. Lots of veggies, fruits, fibers, etc..

I have met with my doctor and no diet can help us out as it's in our genes.

Does any of you made research on how to get rid of high cholesterol in family history? Is there something that can be done, without having to take meds?

Did any of you hear about eating 'one bean a day' thing .. or any other tips. I don't want my boy to have to take medication that young.

When I will have the money, I plan to buy a Hitch Bicycle Rack. Until then, I can afford a "SportRack Trunk Bike Carrier" for 3 bicycles.

En montant les escaliers, il m'arrive quelques fois de perdre pied, lorsque j'arrive près du haut de l'escalier, même si je sais qu'il reste quelques marches à gravir - comme si ma tête me joue des tours, je crois que je suis arrivée mais je ne suis pas là et je perds pied... c'est difficile à expliquer.

During weekdays, we get up, get dressed, breakfast, I drive my oldest to school, and the youngest at daycare, I go to work...

I finish work, get children from school / daycare, go home, prepare dinner, eat, prepare son's lunch for the next day, I help him with homework, prepare sons to go to bed, put sons to bed, do some laundry, clean up... I then go to bed myself at around 23h00.

Same routine all weekdays, all year long.

Anyone else the same?

I am a single mom. I love my sons, I'd die for them... still I feel like my life has no meaning.

When possible to go out, I just feel like staying in my comfy home and sleep.

I am separated from my sons father.

When we separated, I have made arrangements not to see each other, when exchanging the children (for good reasons).

All was fine, Dad was taking his 2 sons. Until I met a man.

Right then, Dad stopped taking our youngest son - he says our youngest didn't want to go with him. Dad allowed him to decide to go or not, Dad doesn't want his boy to hate him.

Now, Dad says it's my fault he doesn't take our son. He insists I'd be at the 'exchange' to punish our son when he says these things. My oldest says his little brother doesn't cry when there with Dad.

Does this make sense to you Dads?

What magic text could I send him to make him understand that both children need to see him?

I want both my children to see their Dad regularly.

When I am out in public, after a day of work, I become drained in no time. I don't just feel it, it shows big time.

I was out for dinner at a restaurant with my parents and my children. About 30 minutes after we were there, I felt drained and my parents noticed it in my face.

I am worried - I am planning to go out this Friday, after work. I don't want to look sleepy. I can't sleep before going out and make up doesn't help much in this case.
