Is there anybody on this web site that is open minded, or is this the FOX network?
I have never heard so much negative and narrow-minded thinking. No wonder this country is in serious trouble. Come on people, THINK and READ? Spare me your childish remarks. Give us some ideas with thought.
1 AnswerMedia & Journalism10 years agoI don't know who said it, but "why can't we all just get along?"?
Stop slinging mud at the republicans/democrats, left/right, etc. Come on folks. Does anybody have any original ideas on how we can save this country; this economy; or this world - without trashing somebody else? Or, without starting another war?
4 AnswersPolitics10 years agoHow do you get rid of Trojan.bho.h virus?
I have Windows 7 Professional. Malwarebytes finds the virus during a quick scan. It indicates the virus is quarantined and deleted successfully. Reboot, scan again, and the virus is still there. Avira, Malware, and Avast are no help in getting rid of it. Help?
2 AnswersSecurity1 decade agoRepublicans objected to Health Care Reform, participated in revising it, then all Voted against it. What?
Can anyone say "fickle"??? Perhaps the Dems should start over, ignore the Reps and their Insurance Company sponsors (yes, the Republicans are bought and paid for), and pass a bill that is best for the American people.
5 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoWhen are we going to bring our troops (our kids) home? What are they dying for?
Screw Iraq and Afghanistan, do we really care what happens over their?
5 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoIs national heathcare reform settled, or is this just the beginning?
Some are claiming victory, while others are upset. How do you feel?
5 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoWhy are you opposed to raising taxes on the rich?
Only 2% of the American population makes over $250,000 per year (a.k.a. - "rich people"). President Obama wants to raise taxes for rich people that make over $250,000 a year, but most of the people (including this web site) seem opposed to that increase. I think the more you make, the more you pay. Even Warren Buffet agrees with this.
16 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoIn America, are we heading for another Civil War?
The rich get richer (tax cuts, deductions, write-offs), the middle class pays for nearly everthing we have, and the poor pay next to nothing. Criminals have more rights than we do. The minority rules. The majority feels they are disenfranchised, because the leaders of the Republican and Democratic Parties are in another world. Politicians are more interested in getting re-elected, than doing the "right thing." We "literally" have the best (oxymoron) politicians money can buy.
5 AnswersMilitary1 decade agoI'm a vet and damn proud, how about you?
I endured boot camp, AIT, and Germany, but not Vietnam. I feel for my fellow soldiers and wish I could have done more for them.
4 AnswersOther - Cultures & Groups1 decade agoShould we eliminate all undercover police operations?
If people want to eliminate crime, they should speak up. Why do we need to have undercover police? Some say that a lot of drugs are sold by undercover cops. Are they helping or contributing to the problem?
1 AnswerLaw & Ethics1 decade agoAre Mac's better than PC's?
I see all the recent commercials about how Mac's are better than PC's. Are they really better? If so, how?
5 AnswersDesktops1 decade agoWhen you cook bacon, fry fish, or fry a turkey - what do you do with the leftover grease?
What is the best way to dispose of this stuff (other than becoming a vegetarian)?
6 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoWhy are so many American Corporations registered in the state of Delaware?
Are there advantages to being a Delaware corporation?
2 AnswersCorporations1 decade agoIf you are a government employee, should you do what you are told, or do what's right?
Politicians have so much power over government employees. It doesn't matter what is the right thing to do, it is often whatever the politician wants.
6 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoIf I were you and you were me, what would you think of me?
10 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoPolls influence elections. Shouldn't they be outlawed?
Everyone wants to associate with a winner, so when polls indicate the apparent winner, people follow the poll and vote accordingly - rather than voting what they think is right or for the best candidate.
6 AnswersElections1 decade agoWhy do insurance companies have to be part of the national health care solution?
Insurance companies keep over 30% of your insurance premiums for themselves, which does not help you. Why not eliminate them and lower our health care costs?
10 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoShould we continue the embargo on Cuba?
Cuba is a communist county and so is China (think of everything you buy from Walmart). Why should we be so cruel to Cuba - just because they overthrew the dicator we empowered, before Castro?
8 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWe are all Americans. Why is there so much hate and not more common ground?
Yes, there are Republicans and Democrats, but why can't we look at the bigger picture -the success of the U.S.A. and the world. Nobody wins with war. Heathcare needs reform.
13 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoShould we require a reasonable intelligence test before people can vote or serve on a jury?
We have some really stupid people in this country. If intelligent people only and people making less than $100,000 per year were allowed to vote, George W. would never have been elected. I have served on 3 county juries and 1 Federal jury - man do we have some stupid people in this country. It scares me.
