He is 11 years old. He just got out of trouble a couple of weeks ago for lying and I caught him lying again last night. I don't know what I can do to get it through to him so that he will stop. He's generally not a bad kid. He just has this problem with lying lately.

A few weeks ago he made a zero on a test. I asked him why and he said he didn't know. I told him to ask his teacher and he told me that she said it was because he was out one day. I asked if he was going to be able to make it up and he said he didn't know. I wrote a note to the teacher asking her and she called me. He was given 3 days to make it up and didn't. He knew exactly why he had the zero but lied about it.

I spanked him. I grounded him from to his room for 10 days with nothing to do in there but read a book. I took away his cell phone (we have cell phones instead of a house phone). And he normally rides to school with my mother in law but I made him ride the bus during this time.

Well last night I caught him in a lie again about where he had gotten some gum he had in his mouth. I've gotten on to him before about going into my purse and taking gum without asking. He told me a friend at school gave it to him. After many lies later trying to cover that lie he confessed.

Now I'm at a loss as to what to do. I would have thought the first punishment was strong enough so he would learn his lesson but it wasn't obviously. Any ideas?

I am trying to plan a vacation to see all of the lighthouses on the Outer Banks during July of this year. Can you please suggest a good central location to them all to stay? Also, I'm sure it would be cheaper to stay off the beach than on. Do you know any towns that are centrally located and cheaper than the beaches? Thanks!

What is electronic stability programming? I've read online people complaining about it taking all the fun away while driving the new Chargers but I'm not sure what they're referring to. I have one and don't want to be missing out on anything.

I will be getting married soon. We are having a beach wedding and aren't wearing the traditional clothing. I'm trying to find a white button up for my son and fiance to wear that is long sleeved and a very thin material. I'm not sure what kind of material the shirt is or where to find it but I'd consider it to be casual and almost but not quite a transparent possibly cotton mix shirt. Any ideas? I need to know what the material is and where I might find shirts like this. I've looked all over the malls. I found one in "Buckle" that was 65% cotton and 35% poly. It is the closest I've found.

I was given a 14k white gold engagement ring 3 weeks ago. It looks as if it were burned on one side. It has somehow gotten tarnished. I'm not sure what happened. The only thing I can possibly think of was that I cleaned the bathroom with bleach a couple of weeks ago. Could this have caused it? What can be done to get it off? It won't wipe away or even scratch off.

I have been using Webshots for years. Recently they changed thier site. At first I could download community photos only. Now I type in the address and it will not even connect. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, what did you do to correct it?

Anyone else feel like you get more spam after reporting spam to Yahoo? I report a couple. Next time I sign in I'll have a ton more. I think they are sending this junk mail.

Hurricane season is here. I live on the MS Gulf Coast. We were badly affected by Katrina. During the past year there has been so many kind people who have come to help the people in the affected area. I just wanted to thank everyone. It really makes you feel good to see all the people that still care in the world. I didn't need the help thankfully but there are so many that did and still do.

Do you have a story to tell? Know of any kinds acts?

I originally leased my car. I ended up having to buy out the lease due to the miles being over the limit. Now I want to trade in the car but am upside down with it. Any ideas on how to trade it in without being in the same situation in a few years?
