My ancestory is European. It's very possible that my ancestors were enslaved by the Romans. But I don't consider myself a "European American" . The blacks were taken from their country and were made slaves. My ancestors (possibly) were made slaves in their own country. And remember, believe it or not, there were rich black people in the South that owned slaves. So why do blacks say "African American" ,when white people don't say "European American" ? Is it because our slavery took place 2000 years ago ? And not 200 years ago ?
