  • Name of an English Film?

The story is of a man and a woman who live on a farm. The woman gave birth to a baby. Then she finally delivered five babies. After that, they gave their children to someone to adopt.

It is NOT "Who Will Take Care of my Children" starring Anne-Margret. She had ten children.

  • It's bugging me that I can't remember this movie that I saw on HBO or Showtime last year. I need some help?

I've seen this question posted recently by others here on Y!/Answers and the question received no response. Yet, I, TOO, have seen this movie on HBO or some other cable station. This fairly-recent movie is about a white couple (man and woman) who have to live in a remote village or on a plantation. The husband is a land surveyor (I think) and he has to remain on the job there until he has paid off his debt to the landowners (an elderly woman and her middle-aged, nasty-looking son). The husband is like an indentured servant. The wife joins him there in the village and they live together in this dirty, shack-like place. She hates it there and wants to leave but they can't escape with no money. What little money they did have, they hid but the landowner's son spied on them through cracks in the walls and saw where the wife hid the money, and is able to see her at other times--if you get my drift? He lusts for her and she later pretends to like him just to get the money back.

The movie is filmed rather dark. The setting is maybe the '40's or '50's. The movie was sort of boring except for the scene in which they show the corpse of the dead mother with bugs crawling out out her mouth. Yuck! I remember that I recognized the couple, the female actress more so than the male. The woman had dark brown, almost shoulder-length, curly hair and was she was moderately attractive. I didn't recognize the landowners. I've tried to look up the movie on IMDb with no luck. Does anyone recognize this movie description?

  • My 56 y/o friend asked me to post this question concerning her erratic blood pressure. Got any suggestions?

A friend of mine (who's an RN) has had four episodes in the last three years (three since last April) of a sudden rise in blood pressure. She was rushed by ambulance to the ER just last week. Her BP would go up to 200 (or so) over 100 to 120. She had associated symptoms of tingling down her left arm to her fingers with a vague numbness in her finger tips. A generalized "funny feeling" in her head, occasional tingling of her lips, slight nausea (a couple times) and, in general, feeling pretty strange. There were no visual changes, speech was normal, pulse and respiration were ok (normal). There were no actual chest pains but a funny feeling left of the sternum that could have been described two different times as maybe a slight discomfort. By the time the EMS came or she got to the hospital, her BP was steadily going down. This last episode, about 2 or so hours after the onset of the episode, it was 134/84. Four or so hours after that, it was 99/54. Her BP that night was 122/66 and the next morning was 124/72 and, by that time, she felt fine. EKG, chest x-ray, various labs (including two sets of cardiac enzymes) were all negative. Two months ago, having gone through the same symptoms, all labs were negative, as well. She had a stress test with tracer and passed with flying colors. The only suggestion the Dr. had in ER this last time was anxiety which she said was not the case at all. Interesting that when some Dr.s do not have the answer, they can be quick to blame it on anxiety!

The only common factor in two of the occasions was that she felt a migraine coming on and took an indocin (prescribed by her neurologist for that reason). Both of those times, it was in the morning about two hours after having coffee. She does not take indocin on a regular basis but has taken it many other times without any problems so this seems like a coincidence and not a variable.

If anyone has an explanation for this or has gone through something similar, please respond.

  • Can I use a 20 Watt (= to 75 W) new-twisted bulb in an outlet that reads 60 W Maximum?

My outside garage lights have both burned out and I want to replace the bulbs with two new energy-saving bulbs. But I'm confused. Since the outlets are wired for 60 W Maximum bulbs(according to the stickers on the base of the lanterns), then can I use a higher watt new bulb for additional brightness?

    NOTE:

    13 W = 60 W

    20 W = 75 W

He likes his fast new sports car (Subaru). He does Kung Fu and loves video games. He is also a physical therapist and a romantic, a complete sweet heart.
