  • Stimulus Check Question?

Ok, I have used the stimulus calculator on the IRS website and I know I should be getting $600. My problem is: when I filed my tax return, I opted for direct deposit. A month ago, my bank decided to start placing holds on my paychecks, so I changed banks. So now when they go to deposit my stimulus check, it will bounce back to them saying the account is closed. Will they turn around and send me a paper check? Or am I outta luck and wont be getting that extra money?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

  • Dessert Catering?

OK, not long ago I posted a question about what kind of desserts I should make for a group of 50-60 people. Well I have figured out the options I will be giving them, based on my skill of baking.

I have decided to make mini cheesecakes, cream puffs, brownie bites, large chocolate and yellow sheet cakes and banana pudding. And of course they can request something specific, if they choose too. My new dilemma is: how much should I charge them? I dont want to charge too much and they decide not to use my services but I also dont want to short change myself either. I have never charged anyone for the desserts I make, because I love making them. But now with the price of everything going up, I cant make this big of a dessert tray without being compensated.

Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated!!

  • Dessert for 50-60 people?

I was just offered the opportunity to make desserts for an acquaintance's monthly meetings. There will be anywhere from 50 to 60 people each time. They have the food covered, but the lady who provides it does not do desserts. I love baking, and always have rave reviews for pretty much everything I have made. My problem is, I have never made dessert for that many people before. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should or could make for that many people? Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Gallbladder surgery?

I have to have my gallbladder removed. I have multiple stones with thickening of the gallbladder walls which is causing enlargement in my liver. So my doctor didnt give me any choice other than to have it removed.

My question is for anyone who has had this surgery before. How long should I expect to be out of work? Is there a lot of pain after the surgery? According to my doctor the surgeon will be doing it laproscopy instead of doing open surgery. Any advice would be helpful, since I have never had surgery before. Thank you in advance.

  • I have a stupid question about periods and being sick.?

Ok, I was supposed to start me period this week, it hasnt happened yet. I had to go to the doctor yesterday for a sinus infection and bronchitis. What are the chances that being sick has kept me from having my period? I know it sounds weird or stupid, but its the only thing I can think of. I have been on birth control for almost 10 years, without ever missing a day and me and boyfriend are extremely careful cause we dont want any kids. Can someone tell me if having a sinus infection can screw up my periods? Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Bark Collars?

I unfortunately had to get one of those bark collars for my jack russell. He barks way too much and my neighbor has started to complain and called the cops once. Anyway, according to the directions, I have to remove his regular collar with tags on it because it will interfer with the bark collar. He also has a problem with digging sometimes and gets out, so if he doesn't have his tags on, I might lose him. Does anyone know how the tags will interfer with the bark collar? Will it shock him for no reason? Thanks in advance for your help.

  • I have a strange question about bras.?

I bought a nice playtex bra from JCPenney about 6 months ago. Yesterday I was sitting at my desk and I felt this jabbing in my chest. I looked down and noticed my underwire had popped out and was poking into my skin. Has anyone else had this problem before? I have tried all kinds of brands and sizes and styles and always get the same results. I figured if I spent more money on a nice full figured bra, it wouldn't do it. But I was wrong. I just want to know if I am the only one who has back luck with bras? And what in the world can I do to avoid this? Thanks in advance for the help!

  • Laser Hair Removal?

I want to get laser hair removal on my underarms. Has anyone done this recently and had good results? I have really dark hair and I have to shave everyday which sometimes causes razor burn. I wear a lot of tank tops cause I get hot easily, so razor burn is extremely embarassing. Laser Hair Removal is my best option, I think. I would like to hear about someones personal experience. Thanks!

  • Sour Cream or Cottage Cheese in Cheesecakes?

I have a recipe I am supposed to make for a family reunion in August for a raspberry cheesecake. Its a recipe I have never used before so I am going to try it out this week. I just noticed that it calls for cottage cheese instead of cream cheese like all my other recipes. I know I can substitute sour cream for the cottage, but I was wondering how other people felt about using cottage cheese in their cheesecakes. I personally hate cottage cheese so I am afraid I won't eat it knowing that its in there. Please give me your opinions. Thanks very much!

  • How do you cook fresh corn on the cob?

I have always bought frozen corn on the cob. And all I had to do was put it in a pot of cold water and put it on high until it came to a boil, cover and reduce heat. Cook for 4-6 minutes.

The one time I did buy fresh corn I made it on the grill, but I don't have time for the grill tonight. What is the best way to cook the corn on the cob on the stove? Thanks for your help.

  • Family Reunion Dessert Ideas?

My boyfriends family has a family reunion every year. This year they have asked me to bring 1 or 2 desserts. I have come up with a couple I think everyone would like but would like some input from other people. One is a trifle with angel food cake, blueberries, strawberries and whip cream mixed with vanilla pudding. The other is a raspberry cheesecake. Is this too much fruit? What do you think? Thanks in advance for your help!

  • Restless Leg Syndrome?

I have not been diagnosed with RLS but I have a question. When I go to sleep at night my legs are just as calm and don't bother me. But during the day at work, I can't stop bouncing around. My legs are constantly moving, bouncing, twitching non stop all day. Would this be considered RLS? Or is there a name for what I have? Thanks in advance for your help.
