Do judges prefer a significant amount of info or keep it short and simple?
We are appealing a decision in Superior Court, where the judge made an error.
We were sued by a contractor who wanted to be paid despite not finishing the job. We counter sued for the money it would require to finish the job. We took pics and followed in detail a legal book on how to fight the case. The judgment that was awarded came out in the exact amount of our costs to finish the work. The award however was given to the plaintiff. The legal clerk agrees with me that the judge made an error based on the judges notes in the case. However a motion to reconsider was denied. Is it best to arrive with a two or three page case for the appeal or should i put together a complete analysis of pics and checks and receipts. I did the latter the first time and I don't know if it was a good idea. Do judges prefer a significant amount of info or keep it short and simple?
