I got a new computer a year ago. Teenager on it powers off, done for the night. Next day when he tried turning it on a bunch of writing came across the screen but would not boot all the way up so he just turned it off. (His side, not sure exactly what happened).

Now when you push the power on button nothing happens. There is a solid green light on in back of the computer. The monitor turns on fine but states there is no signal. I unplugged the surge protector and plugged direct into the wall, nothing.

Any ideas?

I divorced almost ten years ago & my ex kept the house. He refinanced the property under his own name. Our joint loan is showing as closed; paid as required, zero balance.

I have now been served papers and being sued because the current lien holder is placing the property into foreclosure. I am not a party on that loan (The former mortgage lender is listed as well in the suit). The law firm that served me has advised I must get an attorney or my credit is going to get messed up.

How can this be?????? What steps did I miss during our divorce that could cause this? Any advice would be helpful.

Every email & folder has been deleted. Opened emails this morning- everything there and ok. Completed a system disk cleanup. When I went back into email everything gone. I have checked for *dbx files in all folders including hidden files and can not find anything except the new emails that have come in. I have done a system restore to yesterday- no change except now the new emails are gone as well. Are they forever gone? Any ideas how I can restore them? Thanks!

I currently have windows me and microsoft is wanting to faze this out soon. New software (turbo tax) will not load on "me" so I've decided it's time to upgrade.

Question is which one to upgrade to? XP or the new Vista?

Several of my houseplants keep getting a white film/mold all over the leaves that I cannot get rid of it. It is white & powdery and seems to spread to neighboring plants within the room. I have tried lightly washing with dish detergent, spraying fungus spray from the garden center, Listerine, Tylex mold & mildew remover (yes, I’m desperate) and still it comes back. Anyone have suggestions on what to try next?

I have begun dating someone whose wife passed away and her name comes up in conversation. Between us it's fine to have her referred to as "my wife" but in public when he uses this people look at us as a couple of cheaters unless it is properly explained. Any suggestions?
